The intonation is off bad. I've had 3 Martin's and they have all been nothing but problems. The guitar is pretty I'll give it that but it is hard to tune and won't hold tune. Would I recommend this guitar? Absolutely not. Try a taylor gibson or epiphone inspired by gibson. I have a inspired by gibson epi hummingbird. Much better guitar.

Had to sack the 13's, too thick for me. Installed custom lights, plays easy after a little saddle work. It has medium volume. Bright but not too bright. Pickup is very good, turner works perfect. It deserves a case, which I just happened to have. Bought it at local GC. Rating is for what it is.

I put light gauge strings on this guitar and it plays beautifully with no buzz at all. The pickup is well matched to this guitar. The D13e Ziricote looks terrific too.

  • Returned because it needed a neck reset

Arrived with scratches (that was expected, bought open box level 3), strings were rusted (low E string was literally black), the action was really uncomfortable. I took it to guitar center, the tech said it would need a neck reset, likely from sitting in improper humidity/ temperature tuned up for too long. The instrument sounded beautiful. Sad I needed to return it, because the neck reset would have put it over the price new.

  • I would buy this again.

If you're looking for that great Martin sound in an affordable dreadnought - this is your new guitar! The tone is deep and rich. The fretboard is easy to maneuver and the action is nice and low. The ziricote look is gorgeous and it has an all gloss finish!
