Marshall 2525 Mini Jubilee - Product Demo

The Mini Jubilee 20W head from Marshall is a scaled-down version of their iconic Silver Jubilee series. This 20W, all-tube amplifier is built in the UK to the exacting standards that Marshall is known for. It shares the original Jubilee's ferocious overdrive and tone-shaping controls but in a more compact, lower-wattage design perfect for club gigs, rehearsals and recording. Switch to 5W for even quieter operation.
Built to Last
Like the original Jubilee, the Mini Jubilee is hand-built in Marshall's UK factory using time-honored techniques and premium components. The result is an amp that looks, sounds and performs like a classic but with modern reliability and efficiency.
Legendary Tone
The Mini Jubilee is powered by two ECC83 preamp tubes and two EL34 power amp tubes, the same configuration found in Marshall's most coveted amplifiers. Sculpt your tone with treble, middle, bass, presence, gain and rhythm clip controls. Engage the rhythm clip for an extra dose of overdrive and sustain. Clean, crunch and high-gain tones are all within easy reach.
Performance Versatility
With 20W of power, the Mini Jubilee is ideal for small to mid-sized venues, but its 5W mode makes it perfectly suited for rehearsals and recording as well. The amp's compact size means it's easy to transport to gigs while still delivering a roaring rock tone. Independent 4, 8 and 16-ohm speaker outputs give you flexibility in selecting a cabinet.
Modern Convenience
In addition to its smaller size and lower wattage, the Mini Jubilee includes a DI output for direct recording or connection to a PA system. Footswitchable channel switching allows for quick changes between clean and overdrive tones.

Has anyone tried the D.I. on this unit? Is it even close to a useful signal?
Yes, the Marshall Mini Silver Jubilee 20W Head (2525H) does include a DI output, specifically a balanced XLR line out with speaker emulation. It’s based on the Celestion V-Type speaker and is designed to give a usable approximation of a mic'd cab sound—but with caveats. Real-World Use of the DI: Tone Quality: The DI signal is usable, especially for demo work, home recording, or quick live setups where miking isn’t practical. However, it’s not a full replacement for a properly mic'd cab—the tone can sound somewhat flat or scooped, lacking the depth and air of a real mic'd speaker. Feel and Dynamics: The DI captures some of the amp's dynamics, but feels a bit stiffer compared to the amp through a cab. For studio use, many players still prefer to use a reactive load box with a better IR or a real mic. Live Use: It works well enough for live gigs where FOH needs a quick and easy signal. Just don't expect it to rival high-end cab sims or miking techniques. Consider combining it with an IR loader or a cab sim pedal downstream in your DI chain if you're aiming for higher fidelity or different speaker voicings. The DI is decent and serviceable—good for convenience, quick sessions, or backups. But for serious tone capture, you’ll likely want to supplement it with other tools.submitted9 months ago
