Marshall MX212AR 160W 2x12 Angled Speaker Cabinet
Description
Marshall Amplification, the legendary British amp builder, offers the MX212AR 2x12 guitar cabinet. Loaded with a pair of Celestion Seventy/80 speakers, this 160W cabinet delivers the projection and tone that Marshall is renowned for. The angled cabinet design enhances clarity and spread, allowing guitarists to cut through the mix.
160 Watts of Power through Celestion Speakers
The MX212AR cabinet is equipped with two 12" Celestion Seventy/80 speakers that provide a combined 160W of power handling. The Seventy/80 speakers are known for their warm yet defined tone that complements high-gain amps. With a sensitivity rating of 100dB, these speakers readily translate the output from tube amps into rich, full sound. The MX212AR cabinet's efficient design and sturdy construction allow it to handle the high volumes required for rehearsals and live performance.
Angled Design for Optimal Projection
The MX212AR cabinet features an angled baffle board that aims the two speakers up and out. This design helps the sound carry farther and spread wider, allowing guitarists to cut through the mix. The angled cabinet is ideal for rehearsal spaces or live venues where maximum projection is needed. The angled design also provides a more direct sound for those standing close to the cabinet.
Iconic Marshall Styling
Like all Marshall gear, the MX212AR cabinet exhibits the company's signature esthetic. The durable cabinet is covered in iconic Marshall black vinyl and accented with the familiar Marshall logo and gold piping. A metal grill protects the two Celestion speakers and sturdy metal corners help the cabinet withstand the rigors of transport and performance. The classic styling of the MX212AR allows it to complement any Marshall amp head.
Portable and Versatile
Weighing in at just over 65lb., the MX212AR cabinet is relatively lightweight and portable. Integrated side handles make it easy to load in and out of vehicles and move around. The MX212AR's simple yet robust design means that it works well in a variety of live and studio settings. Whether paired with a Marshall tube amp or a high-gain solid-state head, this 2x12 cabinet reliably reinforces your guitar tone.

Be I purchased my first tube amp, at Guitar Center(Marshall Origin 20) a month or so back. My 1x12 cab was adequate but I cold tell that the amp needed some more space for it to really scream. This 2x12 Marshall was just the ticket.
Perfect with dsl head

This cabinet is easy to use and not too heavy to carry around. I have this cab paired with my Marshall Class 5 head and it sounds great. A lot of low end, nice midrange, and overall not too lound. Just loudn enought to hear myself over a drum. Also, it's angled so no need to use an angle stand with this.
awesome cabinet, great sound

I bought this to pair with my Marshall SC20 Studio Classic JCM 800 head. It was half the price of the similar Studio Classic 2 x 12 cab and sounds great. I've been a fan of the Celestion 70/80 speakers for years.

Good quality Marshall cabinet that I bought to use with my DSL15 head, I also bought a Marshall MX112 cabinet to use as well. Oddly the 212 was lacking the low end puncih that the 112 cab had, not sure if this was do to the impedance ratings ( 112 is 16 ohm, and 2x12 is 8ohm). The 212 did have more high/ midrange sizzle. I ended getting rid of the MX212 since the MX112 met my tonal needs better. My recommendation is to try before you buy, and if possible use your guitar and amp through it. Overall it's a good cab, quality made .
