OMG, Just got this today and plugged in my new DSL1 Marshall Head. The best tone you will find for home use without deafening everyone within 1/4 mile. There is something special about these speakers! WICKED TONE! The head is amazing too, I have had all kinds of heads and rack gear for the last 30+ years and this combo went to the top of the heap! I cant wait to try a JCM800 with this cab, maybe get two of them side by side and wake up the DEAD!

  • Good affordable cabinet for the CODE series amplifiers.

Nice guitar cabinet that I purchased to go with my Marshall CODE 100 head. This cabinet is supposedly specially voiced for the CODE series amps, but I couldn't really hear much difference compared to a 2x12 Celestion Vintage cabinet nor a Laney 4x12. I did notice a big difference between a 2x12 with Tone Tubby speakers and another cabinet with Scumback speakers and felt both of those were superior to the Marshall cabinet.

I have a H&K GM 36. I put that on a Mesa 2x12 upright cabinet. that gives me the classic amp sound. I was messing around with the head while waiting for the cabinet and found that my PA monitor gave me some really cool bright sounds. So I was thinking about putting a second 2x12 on top of the Mesa cabinet and wanted something more modern and bright. The Marshall Code 2x12 filled that role nicely. It would be nice to see a full height 4x12 stack that matched...
