As far as 412 cabinets go this one is pretty rockin' The G12M greenback speakers are perfectly suited classic rock type music. It's taller than normal Marshall 412s, so might not transport as easily due to its larger size. As I'm sure you know it is A HEAVY MUTHA! But I was able to pick it up and move it myself (and even up a short flight of stairs) and I'm not particularly strong or anything. But it wasn't fun! I also didn't like that the side handles were plastic. For as much as this costs, I think it should definitely have metal handles. Ended up getting rid of it because I found I like the sound of straight 412s better than slanted 412s.

I picked this cabinet up used along with the matching JTM45. Dates back to 1989 so it is broken in nicely. I currently pair it up with an Orange OR50 and run it straight with my Les Paul. The cabinet resonants beautifully and locks right into those warm and juicy guitar frequencies. The speaker break up envelopes the overdriven signal in a way I don't need any dist/od/fuzz pedals. I can get all that with the use of my guitar's pick ups/vol/tone knobs. The size and presence of the cabinet adds to the fullness of sound and the back line. If your running lower wattage amps, I think you will enjoy the sound enhancements it brings. I have ran an Orange OR15 and Marshall Class 5 through it and WOW!! If you have an opportunity to play through one of these cabinets, do. The Marshall 1960TV is its own beast for a reason.

Seriously this is LOUD!!!! I'd plug my JCM 900 into this cabinet at vol 2 and MY NEIGHBOR knocked my door to shut it down!!! It has that crunch you need for the hard rock and it has great bass and sparkly tone you want for metal, the clean is crispy and tight and the dynamics are outstanding. Also it is a little bigger than the 1960's cab and it has a great look grill. My bandmate has a regular 4x12 cab and he has to play about vol 5 when I play at 2, with the same amp&settings!!! So far I'd play blues, jazz, metal, hard rock and this cabinet has exactly the dynamics I've been looking for. This has been my best invest in cabinets and I'm sure you'll find YOUR sound easier with this gear.

I have this cab and I,m running a JCM800 model# 2210 100 watt head. You cant get a better system than this. Great sound, great speaker breakup on the clean channel. You wont go wrong with this cab.
