Solved a lot of problems

I brought a 1936 from here about 10 years ago. I am 50+ and have a steady working band. This cabinet handles all my gigs. We do 50s' though 80's music covering most popular styles of the eras and today. It is not a boutique sound but a classic/modern sound. Cleans up nicely and rocks pure Marshall. This cab has been a work horse for me. It is expensive but has held up well. The tolex has been peeled and re-glued many times but keeps on trucking. At my age I can easily pick it up and tot it around. Now the exciting part. My main gigging amp is an Egnater Renegade 65. What a killer sound! I use to use a Marshall 410h but it sits at home alone now. I also use two eg 65 heads and run them into the one cabinet stereo inputs for special effects. The Marshall mic's up very easily. I use a Sennheiser evolution e906 Dynamic Guitar Amp Microphone (flat off center) and a 57 (off axis and off center) on it for the big shows and sound men love how smooth and consistent the sound is. I am selling my 1960s stacks and buying a new 1936 only because my current one is worn looking. ( I will recondition this one for backup) Final comment - No cabinet gives the versatility, sound and power compared to all other cabinets. Thanks for your time Prof C. Phillips

Chinese speakers

These are well made speakers. But the back says made in England but the G12 75 speakers inside are Chinese this is a bit annoying to me -

Sounds great, didn't expect to like the stock celestian speakers as much as I do. The weight isn't too bad either, not too bad when carrying up and down speakers. Pricey but nice.

  • Nope keep looking

I just purchased a 1936 2x12 cabinet for my DSL 100 head.I really needed something that I could move around without having to rent a truck. I noticed that everybody was trying to sell the 4x12 cabinets, and I believe they were having the same problem. Don't worry about not having enough sound, this baby packs a punch and is really easy on your back. Plus the fact that you get that great Marshall sound!

  • Fantastic!!!!

I'm interested in the Marshall 1936 150-watt 2x12" Extension Cabinet, but I want to ensure that it is the 'Made in England, 1936 Vintage, non-JCM version". Is this the cabinet you are selling?

    Open Reply - Gear-Support
The 1936 is made in GB. I don't if it's a non JCM version.
