Markbass
Description
The Markbass 150W Minimark solid-state bass combo is even more sonically impressive than its heralded predecessor, with an incredible warm and focused sound thanks to the two 8" custom woofers and an onboard piezo tweeter.

The Minimark 802 is a brilliant choice for rehearsing, practicing, teaching and recording, and, with 150W of rumble, it's powerful enough for gigs. It is also ideal for double bass and acoustic bass, with a faithful reproduction of acoustic instruments.

I love to tone, warmth, and precision of MarkBass products. The 2x8 cab gives plenty of power while staying portable. The tone shaping options are a little limited with just their VLE and VPF knobs but you can actually get most sounds you want from just those two controls.

  • Killer amp combo!

In order to get the full 250 watts, I replaced the stock 16 ohm speakers with 2-8 ohm speakers, and the amp just opened up! I'm also using an MXR 10 band eq, which gives even more EQ flexibility! Now this small combo is quite capable in holding it's own, and THEN some, in my 4 pc. classic rock band! If I need more volume, I just use the D.I. into the board for P.A. support!

I was on the fence about MarkBass amps, because they are not cheap and I didn't exactly love the yellow drivers. But man am I glad I went to check them out. I tried several of the Markbass combos, and wound up with my fave being thesmall, simple 802. It has minimal controls, but has a headphone and aux in, ability to drive an external speaker, and it sounds INCREDIBLE. IMO, if the amp sounds great, you don't need a dozen knobs and modeling features. And it's built like a tank. But still only 24 lbs. Wow! Put aside your preconceptions about a small amp, dig deep for a few extra pennies, and enjoy a MarkBass yourself. These amps deserve their reputation.

I would like to know if an 'open box' item qualifies for a warranty? If so, please explain the warranty for the open box item - what does it include, exclude, how exactly does it work for open box items. Is it in writing? Please explain because I am considering buy an amp and I cannot find any information for a warranty for this open box item.

We do offer warranties for open box items, they cover all the same things as the sealed products.

Open Box items do come with a warranty, but since they are no longer sealed it's not the manufactuer's warranty. It comes with the 45 day warranty we have on all of our open box gear, and also has the optional extended warranty available.
