Markbass

collapse expand iconDescription

This ingenious little accessory is made to support any Markbass cabinet, giving the playing bassist a "monitor" position. Though it is lightweight, its smart folding design gives it all the support it needs to prop up even the heaviest of Markbass' cabs, and is small enough to fit in a gig bag between shows.

The good, it's easily portable. The bad, it would not support a very small acoustic amp on a hard surface because it slides. This rendered it useless. Sorry I spent such a high price for an unusable item.

  • Great little problem solver. Very portable, very secure.

Great portable tilting solution that's very secure. Don't hesitate buying this if you need to tilt back your Markbass combo amp. Very thoughtfully made.

  • Small and well made; a little large for the smaller combos

Nicely made, compact. Velcro sticks a little too aggressively and angle is a little extreme for smaller Markbass combo amplifiers. That said, if I leave it a little forward of the speaker it works fine and it surely beats schlepping around an amplifier stand.

  • Great. Portable. Stand.

I sold off my big rig and traded in for a Markbass CMD 121P. It is a truly amazing little amp, putting out HUGE sound for it's size and weight. On stage, it did leave something to be desired on height - as it is difficult to hear with a 5/6 piece band full of premadonnas. I invested in this guy and also a 121H extension cab. WOW! What a difference. Now I have the best of all worlds with the low end being welded to the stage floor (121H) and a angled monitor with the 121P shooting right at my head. This creates a mini-stack of DOOM! The stand is well built, folds up to where I can slide it into the back of any rear port on the amp or cab and lock it in there with the velcro already on the stand. Fairly solid-feeling on stage (I have not knocked over the combo yet). All in all, a good, clever solution to a hearing problem.

  • Works perfectly- light & secure

I use this tilter-stand with a "Markbass Little Mark III and New York 151 Bass Stack." This amp stand-tilter is covered with Velcro so it sticks securely to the bottom of the speaker. Though not as wide as the speaker I have had no issues with stability. The only modification I made was to add some more Velcro to the front bottom of the amplifier that sits on top of the speaker, because the angle of the speaker is probably 33%. The tilter folds flat and is wicked light & small. A great investment.
