Markbass Marcus Miller 104 800W 4x10 Bass Speaker Cab

POWER HANDLING TO WEIGHT RATIO
Like all Markbass cabinets, the Marcus Miller cabs feature Markbass ultra-light neodymium custom speakers. The 102 cab weighs only 40.34lbs/18,3kg with 400 watts (RMS) of power handling, and the 104 cab has an impressive 800 watts (RMS) of power handling and weighs only 48.94lbs/22,2kg.
CONTROLLED BOTTOM END AND ULTRA-FOCUSED SOUND
The rear-ported design offers a full, controlled bottom end. And the new special 1” voice coil tweeter featured on these signature cabinets is very focused in high range with excellent transient attack.Great for any kind of tone and technique... slap, grooves, fast finger work as well as for detailed, melodic playing.
WEDGE DESIGN
The angled cabinet design allows to use these cabinets either as a floor monitor or in standard vertical position. The angled position is fantastic in applications where your amp is mostly for your personal monitor hearing yourself perfectly on stage, and the sound man wants to have as much control as possible of the PA sound from the front of house, without a lot of sound coming off the stage.
PERFECT FOR STAND-ALONE USE OR MATCHED
These cabinets work great on their own, but are also a great choice for those who like to combine cabinets. 8 ohm cabinet allows for many stack combinations: two 104 cabs, two 102 cab or a mix of 104 cab and 102 cab offer great versatility — you can bring one when you only need one, and bring two when you want to really make a super stack for the biggest venues, and the loudest bands.

I'm not very knowledgable when it come to technical specs on speaker enclosures, so don't feel like you need to take my opinion as authoritative. There are 3 things that I really like about this speaker cabinet. 1-its light weight. I can literally one hand this cabinet carrying my bass in the otter and be just fine. Ive had other 410 that have weighed in excess of 100lbs and I didn't want to go back to that anymore. 2-it has a wide range of frequency response, from 35Hz up to 20kHz. It's just about the widest I've seen on the market. the Low E fundamental comes in around 39 hz so its nice to know that this speaker cab can handle that. It's always frustrating to play an open E or even play below that on the B sting (5 string) and have the floor fall out from under you. This cab can hold its own all the way down to the B which was essential for me. 3 it can handle a ton of power. I'm using the Little Marcus 800 with this cab. At 8 ohms I'm getting close to 500 watts of headroom. You can feel the bass thumping in your chest and shaking the ground under the band. It feels like thunder. The tweeter is probably the most controversial component of the speaker enclosure. In the past, I've had MB amps where the tweeter was just too harsh. They have other cabinets with full range horns in them, but I always felt that the high end struggled to come through with those cabs. But with this speaker cabinet, they added a new compression tweeter that seems to marry the best of both worlds. IF you are playing a bass that has more "modern" sounding pickups (EMG's Bartolini's etc) the high end may still be too harsh for you. My Music man stingray is just hitting on the "too harsh" side of things for my ears, but with my Foderas (Seymour Duncan Pups) it sounds awesome! I also have an Ibanez artcore semi hollow bass that sounds super thumpy and thick despite the tweeter. Bottom line, try it with your bass first before you buy. But as for me, I love it!
Amazing Cab!!! Tonally Different from Typical Markbass Sound

Let's start off by saying that Markbass is a beloved brand. Very popular and can be seen and heard everywhere. But I personally did not like the how they sounded. They had upper mid voiced speakers that were great for cutting through a mix, but it lacked low end. These cabinets though.... TONE MONSTERS!!!! Completely different from their well known signature sound. These have the fat Low End that was previously missing in the other Markbass cabinets. Almost an EBS 410 Proline-like tone but deeper. When you EQ the amp right, it can reproduce the B String with definition and clarity that I haven't really heard before. And LOUDLY!!! Usually 10' speakers at loud volumes can't handle the low B without those speakers flapping. I turned up the matching 1000 Watt Little Marcus Head past 8/10 volume and the speakers STILL weren't farting out or vibrating violently. The rear porting in the back is probably most responsible for that bit of magic. Most speakers can only handle 5 or 6 out of 10 volume before that happens... When the Mids are boosted, they can get you that fingerstyle Jaco tone as well as that common Markbass tone that most go for. But the great thing here is it can be dialed out easily since the cab isn't voiced specifically for that Upper Mid cut-through tone. That makes this cab a great slap-bass cabinet because too many Mids while slapping can give your tone that honky, middy slap tone that is less than desireable. Highs on this cab are crystal clear thanks to the 1' inch tweeter. The Highs resonate smooth and evenly, but with the attack needed to be heard above a mix. You can dial in the Vintage Treble tone heard on those classic records as well as the Hi-Fi Modern, Glassy Treble tone. It does both, and everything in between well. Versatility for days. All in all, the best cab I ever played. I just can't say enough about it. Makes me want to play out live alot more. Especially nice is the wedge shape which allows you to lean it back and angle towards your e

This is literally the best bass cabinet that mark bass has designed hands down. Marcus Miller teaming up with mark bass was the best move for there company. The design light weight, tone, power, last but not least the new tweeter. I love Mark bass gear but I personally felt they never cut through mix far as there bass cabinets, heavy low end, growling mid range but highs were not strong enough. This Marcus Miller signature cab is for sure a game changer sounds great for any style of music. The cab also works well with other mark bass amps you can really utilize the VLE & VPF knobs with this cab. I highly urge you to go check this cabinet out they are marking there way into guitar centers.
