lot's of fun

I went by the other review on here and also saw it at my GC here in orlando. liked the way it looked and sounded so I bought it and I must say it sounds really good . I tighten up the skins and in the process I found that there many different sound variations you can get out of this snare. way better than the GP or SP or PDP, had them all and this is better than I expected. Going to up grade the skins later, GC recomended Remo reverse dot on top and falam on bottom, by the way I bought it after x-mas and it was $53. the throw off feels a little cheap and the snare wires could be better, but hey Im not complaining just my opinion and in my opinion I had a Mapex pro 10x5 popcorn snare also and I like this piccolo better. So what are you waiting for get this thing before they run out. A little note this little snare just took the place of my Pearl Export 14x6.5 steel snare and I love my pearl. Enjoy it I know I am ,can't get enough of it.

This snare was amazing....for about half a year.

I bought this snare last December, it was easily one of the best I had ever heard/owned until around May-June the top hoop completely deformed and now this snare sounds as if it would with the latch down. If you want durability I would not go with this snare.

I think I'm going to use this as my primary snare for a while. It just sounds awesome. Do not relegate this snare to your second snare stand.

Out of the box for the price you can't beat it... here's a few things I've done to take this snare to a whole new level: Evans HD dry batte side, Evans 300 snare side, and the BIG difference - Puresound Custom 13" 20 strand snares... incredible sound at low, mid or high tension... these snare wires make ala huge difference in sound...

Right out of the box unbelievable sound with original equipment ... naturally since it's a metal drum there is ring to it ... A little bit of moon gel and this drum sings ... unbelievable deal for the money you just can't beat it ... I highly recommend it.

For the price it's pretty decent. The snares are ok has a really bright sound. I use it in most of reggae/funk tracks. Snares don't fully disengage when tuned up. But you can wind them all the way down if needed. Overall great for the buck.
