Just what I needed

I had some bad experiences with digital, more versatile mixers, which ultimately led me back to analog and this product. The profxv3 has lots of options for routing, with 3 busses and multiple faders, to include an fx fader. I got it home and set it up quickly and easily. It has a 3 band eq with a mid frequency sweep selection. This is a great feature to identify wanted and unwanted frequencies to adjust. Pros: The built in fx and fantastic for vox and instruments. Lots of channels with a separate 1 knob compressor. Number of channels, sound quality clarity. Biggest pro for me is the USB output. I can plug it directly into my phones USB to bypass my phone mic and use the mixer audio in a stereo format to record videos. This is an awesome feature that I could get working on other mixers. This one was plug and play. Cons: It's big, will be hard to pack up for gigs. My biggest complaint is that you cannot stack or use different fx at the same time. Other mixers in or around this price range allow you to select reverse and delay for vox, and then a different verb for instruments. This one cannot. You select 1 fx, and you either use it on a selected channel or don't. I mostly next vox saturation and compression. Since there is a separate compressor knob for most of the channels, you can stack a compression and 1 fx to those channels. Overall, a great mixer, that I would recommend.

Problems after less than 2 years- 1 year warranty.

Well, I am super disappointed. This sound board only lasted 1 year and 7 months before we started having problems with 3 of the channels. Our previous board lasted 12 years and was a hand me down. Loud Audio, LLC only offers a 1 year warranty. Guitar Center said 3 but it's only 1 year.

Easy to use and with the Mackie Thump 12s and the Mackie 18-inch subwoofer, it really sounds nice and can handle everything.

Touring band, sometimes we need to run our own sound (big band). This Mackie Pro FX is perfect for everything we need. I would recommend this mixer for any band musician whether for practice or live performance.

  • 16 profx3 different balance from the 12 profx2.

Do I need an amp or does it just plug in? I don't know if I'm asking this right I apologize. This would be for a six member band.
