Premium Onyx Preamps Provide Pristine Gain

The Onyx24 mixer's 18 high-gain mic preamps, based on Mackie's coveted Onyx design, offer exceptional headroom, transparency and dynamic range. Their ultralow noise floor and wide frequency response capture every nuance of vocals, drums and acoustic instruments with flawless accuracy. Each preamp provides 48V of phantom power and a 100Hz low-cut filter, allowing you to optimize gain for any mic or input.

Shape Your Sound With Perkins EQ and DSP FX

Mackie equipped the Onyx24 mixer with 3-band Perkins EQ on each channel for intuitive tonal balancing. The EQ's tight Q and hard bypass allow you to make precise cuts or boosts, or bypass the EQ altogether. The mixer also provides a palette of 24 studio-grade DSP effects like reverbs, delays, choruses, and compressors that you can assign to groups, AUXes or the main mix. Tweak and save your own custom effect presets for instant recall during any performance or session.

Record and Play Back with Ease

The Onyx24 mixer makes recording, overdubbing and playback extraordinarily simple. Connect to your Mac or PC via USB 2.0 to capture all 24 input channels at up to 96kHz resolution. An SD card slot allows you to record and play back directly from the mixer. Dedicated transport controls put record, play, pause, previous and next right at your fingertips. You can also stream program audio or backing tracks wirelessly over Bluetooth for cable-free convenience during live shows or practice.

      Yup, it's a real "multitrack" USB mixer. Your DAW will recognize it as a 24 channel ASIO multitrack unit. Been waiting for this unit since August 2022. Just got mine this month and they're going fast. For what I need it for, it's awesome as it is. Very simple layout. It's technically plug and play once you get the drivers working, for Windows at least. The effects for me are very useable live. FX don't get recorded in the DAW. I like it that way since it gives me more room to work on the recorded tracks. I run it through Mixcraft 9 and it works smoothly. Really clean and very quiet. Easy to move around. 24 separate tracks, 18 XLR inputs, this is the only multitrack mixer unit in the market that has those features. Channels 1 and 2 are also Hi-Z inputs. I'd run the guitar and bass on those channels, and still have 16 more XLR inputs to play around with for the drum mics, more guitars, keys and singers. Knobs are snug and the faders have a high end feel to them. Nothing is loose or wobbly. I've seen vids of Mackie mixers being torture tested, thrown and beaten and they still work. Expecting for this unit to last. Like I said, there's not a whole lot of these 24 channel "real multitrack" mixer units out there. The time to get them is now! Add to cart!
