Great Reference Speakers

I've used these speakers for over 2 years now as my daily driving set of studio monitors, and they've served me well for production, mixing and basic mastering. If you are starting your recording journey and are looking for a pair to grow with, this is a great start. Beginners will be pleased with the ease of use and volume output. More intermediate users will appreciate the build quality over time, the options for speaker placement, and the consistent tone. These speakers on their own provide some of the clearest high and mid frequencies that's consistent and above all, balanced. These are excellent speakers. One thing to keep in mind about these monitors is that being only 5" the low end is noticeably lacking. These speakers on their own would need to be cranked to hear low end properly. If you are looking to mix low end at a reasonable level or mix bottom heavy music, I would strongly recommend adding the separate studio sub in addition to these speakers. After installing one myself, it has made a significant difference. Low end becomes far easier to hear and mix by extension with far less ear fatigue. What I like about the combination however is that the sub can be toggled on and off via footswitch (I use it often in the later stages of mixing for balance). However, if that's unreasonable, unaffordable, or unavailable for your studio, you may be more inclined to purchase the MR824 for a more pronounced low end.
Too pricey to not sound better

Sound is sub par but they'll do for what I bought them for. I don't feel like going through the hassle of returning them...

The product works and sounds amazing but after a few weeks of using them one of them blew out on me and I got a replacement for it and the replacement just blew out on me a day ago. Great sounding equipment but its very temperamental.
