collapse expand iconDescription

The high-resolution Mackie HR824mk2 8.75" powered studio monitor sounds as smooth as it looks. The rounded contours of the HR824mk2 monitor's Zero Edge Baffle minimize diffraction to give you a crystal clear audio image of your mix. The Mackie Optimized Waveguide delivers full, articulate mids, while the rear-firing, mass-loaded passive radiator ensures tight bass extension to 37Hz. Acoustic Space, low-frequency (LF) roll-off and high-frequency (HF) controls let you easily tailor the sound to suit your space and taste. And thanks to remarkably linear frequency response, Mackie HR824mk2 audio monitors ensure accurate mix translation. Combine all this with wide, even dispersion and Mackie HR824mk2 monitors turn your studio's sweet spot into a full-on sweet zone.

  • Mackie 824's are excellent!

The Mackie SR824 Mk-1 were already great speakers. The Mk-2 improved upon already great sound. They added 'world power' (110/220v), so you can go live anywhere and not have power issues. These are MONITORS, so the sound is very flat. This means that if you are listening to streams, it will call out all the flaws and lack that 'warmth' and 'color' that home speakers will offer. These are for listening to music that has been professionally produced and is presented on a proper source. Vinyl through a good mixer (eg: RANE) it's so pleasing to the ear!

Ok so the studio i intern at have these monitors and they rock!! They have very good punch to them and have great clarity! They do tend to get a little "bassy" when you crank them up. But you can always EQ that. Over all they are great and have never let us down!
