Description
The MXL 770 condenser microphone is a versatile, high-quality mic perfect for capturing crisp and clear recordings of vocals and instruments. Its large diaphragm delivers professional results for beginners and experts alike. The FET preamp and transformerless design give you a balanced, natural sound across all frequencies.
Versatile and Affordable
With the 770, you get a mic that can handle any recording task for a price that won't break the bank. Its wide frequency response and low self-noise make it suitable for vocals, acoustic guitars, pianos, drum overheads and more. The rugged build quality ensures years of reliable performance. For high-quality sound on a budget, the 770 is an easy choice.
Premium Components for Professional Results
MXL designed the 770 with premium components to capture professional-level recordings. The large diaphragm delivers a clear, open high end and controlled lows. Robust internal Mogami wiring provides a quiet, hum-free signal path. A custom-fitted shockmount reduces unwanted vibration. Additionally, the included hard case protects your mic for storage and transport.
Simple to Set Up and Use
The 770 condenser mic requires minimal setup. Simply mount it to a stand, connect an XLR cable and 48V phantom power supply, and you're ready to record. The switches for low-cut filter and attenuation are easily accessible on the mic body. I was in the market to get another vocal/workhorse condenser mic for my studio, so I decided to gamble on a cheaper mic. The 770 sounds pretty good! I've used it on darker female vocals to get a brighter vocal sounds. I'm impressed at the build and sound quality for the price. Case is a nice touch as well, but it is a bit flimsy.
