The MXL 3000 Premium FET recording mic bundle includes an MXL 3000 microphone, a 25' Mogami mic cable, shockmount and matching pop filter. The MXL 3000 has a large 25 mm gold-sputtered capsule and an FET preamplifier with premium components within the signal path. Its transformer-coupled output is very reminiscent of the circuit designs found in early British recording consoles. When used for recording vocals, the microphone has amazing clarity and warmth. It is a stunningly detailed microphone that is also appropriate for instrument miking, especially of string and wind instruments.

one of the best

This is by far, the one of the best studio upgrades I have ever made. When I play back vocals recorded on this mic I hear exact duplication with no background noise or pops what-so-ever. The shockmount, pop filter, and cable are a lovely addition to the mic. Excellent for all levels begginer to professional, if you want to make an impact I suggest this package.

Okay mic to record with. Doesn't blow me away. Nice to record acoustic guitar with. Warm on vocals. Not much brightness for vocals.

    I asked your guy on the phone and he said it was a good choice. When i received it and plugged it in it was way to hot for my pa. I called you guys and the guy I spoke with said the mic was better suited for a computer and not a pa. So he recommended a new one and we are moving forward. I do not recommend this for a live pa set up.
