Easy to setup and configure. The software download takes care of everything. This device recognizes all of my keyboards and other midi inputs, and it works well with my DAWs. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants discrete control of multiple synths without the problems associated with daisy-chaining the midi in/out/thru signals.

So so, installer and docs need improvement. Should ship with ASIO4 driver and app notes on common midi tuning things.
I would buy this again. It works flawlessly with Windows 10!

Plug it in to your computer, download the drivers and done. Works with several OS versions of Windows if not all of them. USB compliant so no hassles. I use it mostly for midi editors for several midi machines, midi foot controllers, synths, effect processors, and drum machines I own. Several of which are older products and were difficult to set up or did not work at all with most of the single USB midi interfaces. This does them all. Having 5 midi in/outs is great if you are using it to program midi commands between multiple editors and machines.
So far so good

Had an M-Audio MIDIsport 2x2...whereas it always worked fine for keyboards, I found a mysterious problem generated with Roland V-Drums where ridiculous long latency problems would come and go. This unit not only gave me 3 more ports, but so far I have yet to experience any latency issues with the drums- bravo

So I bought two of these to pair up and yes, they come with the rack ears to do so. I logged into their site, downloaded the latest Windows 7 Driver, and Bang! They work like a dream! MIDI In or Out, they work without ANY channel problems. I'm using Ableton Live 8, FL Studio 9, and Reason 4. I'm also using a Casio CDP-100 for my MIDI Keyboard because I don't really need 500 buttons and the key action is real! I'm also driving various MIDI drum and sound modules on several channels at once. Great product MOTU!!! The Cakewalk Units aren't bad either, but no rack ears on their bigger rig. Stay clear of the M-Audio MIDIsport. The MOTU is the one to buy. MIDI on my friends!

The MOTU Micro UBS was good enough for me. I had some initial problems getting Vista to find the drivers. I had to open up the driver folder and opened the driver software as "adminstrator". The driver software began to run, and Vista intstalled the drivers. I have 4 midi sound modules and the Motu works just fine. No problems so far. Great midi interface for the price.

Can I hook up an iPad to the Tomu Midi Interface or do I need the IRIG2 to go withit.
I’m very sorry. Your question is not clear. I'm not sure how you're relating a third party piece of hardware to this.submitted4 years ago
