I bought two Classics Medium Crashes This year to replace cracked Paiste 2002's. 17" and 16". The 17" is my favorite crash. I also Ride on the Edge with it for great power. They blow away the 2002 18" i still have. They sound soo much more musical and bright. The 2002 sounds flat and dead compared to the Meinl. HALF the price of 2002 and sound way better. The only unknown is if they will last as long as the 2002's, which were 15 years old. I am getting a 20" next! Highly recommend anything by Meinl, but especially the Classics.

I have the 18" version of this crash and it is by far best sounding B8 bronze cymbal I have ever heard. Meinl's Classics Traditional series sound way more expensive than they are. You can hear them at meinlcymbals.com
