    I have purchased all the bass drum mic clamps and none have worked out like this one! Solid as a rock even if I move the bass drum mid gig. I even keep the mic attached to the clamp, push it into the kick port for safe storage when done. Gig time, I slide it back out and throw on an XLR cable.

    I purchased this for my Dixon Little Roomer micro kit with a 20"X7" kick and with center cut hole using a Kickport. Miced normally, it sounds amazing. This product would be better suited for an off center hole or a kick without a hole. They should re-write their description with placement recommendations. . I can sill use this for my 18" & 16" micro bass drums so it's not a totally bad review. It's a great idea and works well under different circumstances.

    I've only gotten to use this on two gigs so far. It keeps the mic in perfect position. Solid build. The only thing that would be helpful would have been to have a longer threaded area for the mic connector. It's a hindrance to tighten the mic holder tight enough without enough rim to add a spacer for optimum placement. Definitely NOT a deal breaker. I love this thing!
