MEINL Percussion - Artist Series Bongo Diego Galé, REMO® Fiberskyn® Heads - DGR400CW

Description
Grammy-nominated producer, composer and instrumentalist Diego Galé has devoted his artistic life to the knowledge of Afro-Cuban music, integrating it with his own special flavor. The MEINL Percussion Diego Galé Artist Series Bongos are designed to live up to his professional needs in terms of balancing comfort, look and sound. The renowned Latin artist wanted his signature models to be made of wood because of its classic and original sound that represents the roots of his musical journey. Made with chamchuri wood and equipped with brushed nickel finish hardware, the shells have a stunning and unique look with a rich sound that's dynamic, full of popping highs and warm lows for both studio and live situations. The bongos have the classic MEINL shape to the shell and come with Remo Fiberskyn Symmetry heads.

I waited 6 months for these bongos to match the quinto, conga, and tumba I already have. These look nothing like the other drums. These are striped. It looks like a two ring circus. I think meinl may have just slapped the diego gale emblem on some discontinued line to push them out the door. I cant even get through to customer service.
