Description

Meinl chimes provide great tonal diversity and are available in a wide assortment of sounds. Percussionists and drum set players will find various chime models to fit any application. All Meinl chimes are made from a premium anodized aluminum alloy, and a well-balanced wooden bar. A durable nylon cord is used to attach them firmly together.

    I am adding a jazzy percussion sound for a 40's vintage women's quartet. When they sing soft ballads, this chime adds a nice tinkle at the top of the piano runs. The sound is warm and round at either the high or low end of the chimes. I'm glad I bought this one. It's small enough that it's easy to carry and attach to my stand. I'm rigging it to the boom stand in place where a ride cymbal would be. By turning the horizontal boom arm so the chime hangs down, I didn't need anything more to mount it. I use the other end of the horzontal boom arm to drape other hand instruments onto so they are handy.
