Introducing the AIR Series Audio Interfaces

M-Audio Creation Studio - Recording Electric Guitars with Pro Tools First

Description
The AIR 192/4 USB-C Audio Interface provides an intuitive solution for capturing studio-quality recordings. Featuring 4 inputs and outputs, this premium interface enables musicians and producers to record up to 2 channels simultaneously. With 192kHz sample rate and pristine 24-bit A/D converters, the AIR 192/4 delivers incredibly high resolution and wide dynamic range. Guitar Center is thrilled to offer the AIR 192/4, with its elegant metal chassis and large volume knob providing an easy-to-use experience for creating professional recordings.
Capture Every Nuance with 192kHz Sample Rate
The AIR 192/4's class-leading 192kHz sample rate paired with 24-bit A/D converters provides an unparalleled level of detail and depth. Even the most subtle performances are reproduced faithfully, allowing you to capture the full expressiveness and tone of any instrument. Hear the true character of voices, guitars, drums and more with a dynamic range that brings out the best in any microphone or direct input.
Zero-Latency Monitoring for Flawless Performances
When recording, the last thing you want is latency disrupting your workflow or performance. The AIR 192/4 provides real-time zero-latency monitoring, allowing performers to listen to their inputs with no delay. This makes it easy to get the best takes by allowing musicians to fully focus on the performance, rather than compensating for latency. The direct monitoring feature also has its own volume control, enabling the ideal balance between input and playback signal for any setup.
A Complete Suite of Production Tools
The AIR 192/4 comes with a powerful bundle of production software to get you started. Included is Ableton Live Lite, a popular DAW for composing and recording music. You'll also get a suite of virtual instruments like synths, drums and strings as well as a collection of effects plug-ins ranging from guitar amp simulators to creative effects. Loops and samples are included as well, providing a variety of sounds to get you composing professional-quality music right out of the box.
Premium Components and Rugged Build
The AIR 192/4 is built from high-quality components to the most exacting standards. Its rugged metal chassis protects the sensitive electronics inside while also providing an elegant appearance. Large, tactile controls allow for convenient operation and dual USB ports—one USB-C and one standard USB—provide maximum compatibility with the latest computers. Two included USB cables give you everything needed to start recording with this premium, high-resolution audio interface.

I used this audio interface for 3 months before it started having issues with the analog output. One of the outputs to the speakers would lose signal or not work at all. The usb-c to usb-c cable was faulty as well.

Excellent interface. I use the it for monitoring post-production audio and music. The sound is excellent, both for the main outputs and the headphones. It feels sturdy. The knobs are large and easy to turn. Worked perfectly right out of the box on my iMac Pro running OS 10.14.6.; no drivers were necessary.
Great quality... Once you actually get it working

Ive spent a few days using it and I have to say that sound quality is amazing for the price. The knobs are intuitive and if you have difficulty with them, the short manual has a straight forward explanation for them. Set up is supposed to be straightforward as well, but there are some issues that made it very complicated. I had to set it up as my default audio output or else it wlouldnt work properly. The interface would also randomly go to sleep and it wouldnt output any sound at all, so listening to music was dreadful. To get it to stop going into sleep, go to the Control Pannel>Hardware and Sound> Power Options>Change power plan settings>Change advanced power settings>USB settings>USB selective suspend setting>Disable when Plugged in. Like I said, im loving the quality of the sound but the setup is painfully dumb. Some apps require you to change the advanced settings from 44kHz Studio quality to DVD quality in order to be compatible with certain programs, and I havent experienced this, but some people say that their devices are forgotten by their PCs everyday, so their routine requires them to disable and re enable the device everytime. Despite all that the audio from my mics is super clear, and this includes phantom power for those who use condenser mics. The guitar is eerily clear, to the point where I can clearly tell the difference between picks and their textures (I use a single coil EMG which dramatically increases clarity as well, so take the last statement with a grain of salt). The design is very intuitive and simple to understand. Build quality is OUTSTANDING with the knobs feeling sturdy with great resistance for fine tuning, and the body being made of aluminum and a hard plastic on top for the lables. The middle knob also has a really nice rubber grip around it which just adds to the premium feeling. In conclusion, Im in love with this device, but Im a little dissapointed at all the dumb workarounds necessary to get this to work predictably
I am very impressed with all these features at this price!!

This is my first DAW so I am barely scratching the surface of the Air 192/4's capability after only working with it for a few hours, but am already seeing it will more than satisfy my home studio needs!
