Safari Peace Travel Guitar

Luna

Description

"Peace begins with a smile." Mother Teresa

The peace design on this Safari travel guitar is a very special one for us here at Luna as it embodies a philosophy we hold dear. A laser-cut peace sign at the soundhole is surrounded by the word peace in different languages forming a graceful continuum across the soundboard. Includes gig bag.

Go forth and raise smiles through music: the universal language.

I love the beautiful acoustic sound I get from my Luna Safari Peace travel guitar. it is gorgeous. I had the strings replaced with a set designed for finger style guitar. I also love the smaller size. I have shorter arms and this fits in my arms perfectly. and the peace design etching-gorgeous. I sing in churches so it is the perfect motif for me. I am printing up new cards that say "Have Peace Will Travel" I thought that it was fitting. Also want to give a shout out to the guys at Guitar Center. I had the store in Sacramento ship the guitar to their location and I picked it up when it was in. they answered my questions well and was able to give me recommendations for the strings I replaced and they also put on the strings for me. I love Guitar Center and will be doing business with them for all my needs.

Excellent first guitar for a learner. My daughter is 8 and asking for guitar lessons. Pondered getting a more expensive, solid top guitar, but we're not sure yet how committed she'll be. She loves this design, so that might encourage her to practice more? We'll see. Anyway, it's a well constructed, 3/4 size guitar. The neck is a bit long for her, but we can probably use a capo at 1 or 2 for a time. I'll leave that up to her teacher. Good tone, especially for the price. It also stays in tune and there is no string buzz. The kit bag it comes with is very workable. I've give four stars mostly because this is a beginner guitar. That said, it's a very good choice! Very happy with how it sounds and plays.

I bought this for travel on the bike. For what it is, it serves the purpose quite well!

I received my Luna Safari Peace guitar today. I usually don't buy an instrument without trying it out, but I loved the design and couldn't find one locally. Because of Guitar Center's return policy, I didn't see it as an issue anyway. The fit and finish was excellent. The laser-cut design was nice and deep (not just burned on the surface). The action is playable but I will have it set up by my local luthier. The nut is a little high like the previous reviewer mentioned and the saddle needs to be brougt down some. This is not unusual for acoustic guitars. In fact, I think it would be a rarity to find an acoustic guitar on the shelf that wouldn't need some sort of work. Don't forget, we're not talking about high-end guitars here. The sound is good for a 3/4 size guitar. It won't compare to a dreadnaught on the bass end but there is a surprising amount of sustain. I wanted a guitar I could take to the beach and shake the sand out of at the end of the day. The safari series is lightweight, decent sounding, and well made. The few extra dollars it costs to have it set up are well worth it to me.

I love the look of this guitar, but the nut is too high which makes it hard to play.

Wouldn't you need a guitar strap lock for this guitar? So you can have a strap on it.

    Open Reply - Ronald
It has a pin on the bottom, and the other end of the strap connects by tying it to the headstock.

Can I get a hard case for this guitar ? I would like to have this guitar "set up" as I'm seeing issues with a high nut and bridge? do you do that or would I need to take it elsewhere?

There is the Gator GWE-Acou-3/4 Hardshell 3/4-Size Acoustic Guitar Case that should fit. We can set up instruments at our stores.
