Description

"Maluhia" means peace in Hawaiian. The peace design on the Mahulia acoustc-electric concert uke features a laser-etched peace sign at the soundhole and the word "peace" in 18 different languages which form a graceful continuum across the soundboard. The Mahulia has a select mahogany top with mahogany back and sides as that Luna Guitars has paired with a nato/mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard.

    I've been trying to learn guitar for, no lie, 25 years. I had a Yamaha dreadnought that I could barely get my stubby little fingers around, and playing was agony. So I invested in a Luna A/E. It fit my hands! Problem solved, right? Well, no, because due to a nickel allergy, the strings felt like razor wire. Practice for an hour, spend 2 days recovering. A friend recommended I try ukulele, and since I already love Luna, I knew exactly where to look. 25 years, I couldn't play guitar. One week with ukulele, and I can play entire songs. IT DOESN'T HURT. Play for an hour! Play for 2! I can still play the next day! IT DOESN'T HURT!! I've never been so happy with a musical instrument. It's awesome. I'm over the moon. Considering putting some back-end nylon strings on my Luna A/E to see if I can make IT not hurt!

    Quick service with delivery to local store to ensure product arrived safely and undamaged. Price was good. I needed it for a church performance in a couple of weeks on youth Sunday. Love the peace symbol in the sound hole and the use of wording on the body.

    I bought the ukelele for my granddaughter . She loves it She said that it is a real improvement over the school ukuleles. Was a little nervous ordering online. I really gave the ukelele a thorough going over when it arrived. I was impressed. It has nice clean lines. The workmanship seems quite good to me. The wood color and the engraving look better that in the photo. In fact, I ordered another Luna ukelele for myself.I t tuned right up and stayed in tune after the strings stretched a bit. Have not had a chance to use the electronics yet. The order process is very user friendly and delivery was fast.

    Just a lot of fun to strum / pick. Sounds good - not a high-end unit - but it also wasn't expected to be. Pick-up leaves a bit to be desired, but the feel of the instrument is fine and comfortable and the tone is consistent.
