    61 years old and I still regret selling my Ludwig snare, nothing sounds as good, in my 50+ year history!!

  • Amazing Sound for All Uses, Disappointing Throw Mechanism

    I got a real steal on this drum when I had been playing for about a year and had no idea what I got. As I learned more about tuning, I became a huge fan of this drum and found it listed here. I have used this drum with my drum set for rock, jazz and gospel styles, and have used it classically for band and orchestral music, even taking it to an orchestral audition. With appropriate heads, tuning and snares, this drum will sound great for ANY application. I am, however, very disappointed with the quality of the throw. It tends to lock up with higher snare tensions, so if you like it tight, buy another throw.
