Ludwig
Description
Ludwig's wood snares have remained popular throughout the company's nearly 100-year history and this Jazz Festival snare is a nod to the 14" x 5", 8-lug snares of the 1960s that made the Ludwig name legendary.

The Classic Maple 7-ply all-maple shell features the clarity and warmth players have come to expect from maple drums, plus the projection and musicality that has maintained Ludwig's reputation for snare drum innovation and excellence.

Drummers haven't had a chance to get a new Pink Oyster Shell snare since the coloration was discontinued more than 40 years ago, so don't let this opportunity pass you by.

Ludwig P86 Millennium snare strainer
The Ludwig P86 Millennium snare strainer is a recreation of snare strainers past with a chrome finish and art-deco engraving. The center-action round knurled tension adjustment makes getting the desired snare response a breeze. Just flip the top tab towards you to loosen the snares, flip it back to tighten. It's so easy that it can even be done while playing. A classic retro look with that legendary Ludwig quality.

I play certian snare drums and I also collect snare drums that I don't always play. This drum I bought to be a collectible. Only 250 are being made. Ludwig did a cool thing here to bring back this oyster pink covering. The thing I don't get is this drum is a tribute of the 1964 JassFest snare. Well, the Jazzfest never was a 10 lug snare like this new one. They should of made it a 8 lugger. It's still a very collectible Ludwig snare. Looks great! The 100th year badge is cool too.

This snare drum is awesome!!!! It has such a wide range, and you can really dig into it without choking the sound. It is a blast to whip out some really fast single stroke rolls on. Try one, you'll love it!!!!
