I don't usually do this but here goes: This stand is an over-engineered piece of junk. It's amazingly heavy and stunningly fragile. I'm very disappointed in Ludwig. The Pillar Clutch bracket underneath broke the third time i tightened it. Don't waste your money. Zero stars
Best stand out there....

Whatever is wrong with all the other stands on the market...this one will fix....from set up to putting your snare in the cradle...a minute is all you'll need...no after adjustments needed...will suit any player...trust me..I have tried them all and while most are good this one is great..I always found myself fiddling around with the adjustments on the Pearl, DW...Tama......not this one...Ludwig gets it right
I CHALLENGE you to find a BETTER stand!

I looked at ALL the major brands before I bought this stand. There are many excellent choices; Pearl, DW, Gibraltar, etc. BUT This bad boy IMHO is the BEST! Versatile, rock-solid, outstanding adjustability, chrome finish second to none! Folds up nicely, weight average (not back-breaking), truly a great example of Ludwig's commitment to quality and innovation. TRY IT - BUY IT!
