    I took it off the cardboard, plugged it in to my tuner, got an error reading, and I thought my tuner must broken, as this cord is brand new. Plugged into amp, got a loud hum. Changed guitars and amps, same thing. I am glad I took an old cord to the job. Now I have to return new one, and Guitar Center is 75 miles away. Totally inconvenient, and gas is not free, either.

    You can always spend more, and in this instance even less. But for the money you want get a better quality, heavy duty wired, lnssulated, guitar cable with high quality ends, and a no questions lifetime warranty.

    I purchased two "Live Wire Elite" guitar cords because they "said" they came with a "no hassle" return/exchange policy however, when they both wore out prematurely, I was given the "third degree" when I brought them back to the store for exchange and actually had to get the "manager's approval."

    i'm an amateur musician so this may not be a very reliable review, but this is just what i experienced with the product. I bought this cable about 9 months ago, and have used it with my bass guitar with a BA-108 Ampeg amp. About 4 months into using it, the cable bent (almost kinda scrunched to one side) on both ends. This caused it to stop working altogether. It worked great while it lasted! But it just didn't last long. I would recommend using an angled cable so it doesn't scrunch like this!

    I love this cable! It works great and its good for acoustic or electric. I HIGHLY recommend it.
