I recommend this amp to any guitar player.

This guitar amp is a really good deal for only a little over 100 dollars. There's a lot of awesome effects that you can mess around with such as reverb,tape echo delay,Tremelo etc. I also love that you can save your own tones on any of the amp channels so that you don't have to keep retweaking everytime you go back to that amp channel . The Insane setting with the Drive all the way up and the Tape Echo Delay sounds really awesome for heavy metal and lead guitar tones. It has a lot of power for only 15 Watts and 10 pounds. I'm so happy I bought this amp online.Its an awesome amp for practicing.I also thought it was cool how it came with a manual and the manual was really clear on how to use the amp.

Won't buy

I bought this over the previous version which I was intended to buy. I took it home, open the box, plugged-in and wow...was I impressed with the sound quality. Then I noticed two problems- 1. After turning it on, the amp starts will twice as much sound than the Volume knob is set. After just mere touching the volume knob, it resets and comes back to normal. 2. When switching channels from Clean/Crunch/Metal/Insane, it automatically activates effects although the Effects knobs (Smart FX) are in the off position. I took it back to GC. They convinced me that it might be just my unit having the problem and they haven't heard these issues from other customers. I went for a replacement with only the floor model which was left at the store. Then I decided to try it out before taking it home. Bam! Same problem. Two units having the same problem for a new model.... it's hard to considered it as coincidence. Anyway, I didn't take it home. Instead I ordered the previous model which has great reviews. I really liked the amp. It has great sound and effects. Just wished it didn't have those two problems.

    I've owned quite a few Line 6 products in the last decade. Personally, I like this better than the Spider 4. I think it has a better sound and feel. But, it's limited in effects, and it's not the kind of amp you would use pedals with (they just don't really vibe well). I definitely enjoy this as a plug-n-play "on the fly" amp, and you could get away with plugging it direct if you needed to.

    If you are a beginner or a professional musician this is my advise on this amp: no pedal would ever make this thing sound good.this thing is terrrrribblleeeeeeee! Never use it unless you want your tone to suck

    Purchased amp for my 12 year old grandson. He lost one of the control knobs. Can I purchase a knob? His amp is a Line 6 Spider classic 15. Thank you.
