Worth Every Penny

First off, the price saved us a bundle for what we wanted, and we got what we needed with this setup except the clamps. The controller works really good, the book is a bit vague on programming though, and multi channel DMX Lights do not work well with this controller. But still worth every cent, and a great buy!!

Decent budget starter set

Hits: Pretty easy to set up, gives you the truss and some lights at a budget price. Light controller and dimmer packs are great and easy to use. Misses: The truss system has plastic clamps that WILL break pretty easily. I have broken 2 in 3 months with just setup and tear down. Par 38s are okay for effect lighting, but have really no value as direct-able light.

This worked great for our dance show in our studio. I wish that it cme with barn doors though so we could angle the lights a little more

A truss with the most basic stage lighting needed to stage an event. You get 8 par lights with the bolts to mount them to the 'T' bars with complete control over their intensity and programmable chases/scenes. All for $500 is a must if you ever do any type of paid or professional event. Shipped with 3 shattered lights (either mishandling by GC, the shipping company, or American DJ's shoddy cardboard packaging). GC replaced them the same day with new lights from stock. You can hang more lights, banners, and all kinds of stuff from the truss. Or you can just use the T-bar no truss for smaller applications. Very versatile and cost effective.

  • great deal for the price.

A great deal for the price. The system is easy to set up and easy to understand. The board is simple, but great for a beginning set. The only thing that caused me to rate it a 4 is because of lamps (bulbs) that came with the cans, I went out and bought better lamps (bulbs) and the system works great. I recommend this system for smaller performances and beginners.

Good value for the money! Love the stands and trusses- very versatile and light-weight. The controller needs a better manual- it has more functions than what the user manual mentions, such as adjustable time-delays on the faders- it took me quite a while to discover how to disable this feature!

The price is unbeatable, and the kit is easy to use and set up. We used it the first time for a church youth camp, and were very satisfied with the performance. I was a little concerned about the pars being so small but they put off plenty enough light for a stage that held a full band and a room of 100 people.

Can these provided lights change color? ( ex. Red, blue, yellow, )AND can they remain on constantly using no effects, just to simply light a band on stage.

    Open Reply - Ronald
They don't have the ability to change colors on their own, you would have to use the color gels.

Can the lights be suspended just from the stands/trees or is the truss necessary? I was looking to separate the stands to have one on each side of the stage (ie. 4 lights per side). Would this work? Thanks.

A truss is recommended to hang these lights from
