The Fishman Fluence pickups are good, not the best ever, but good luck finding a multiscale 8 string with any other option. I am interested in putting a tremolo on it, but the only thing that seems remotely possible is the Kahler. I got a Kahler installation template to check fitment and will be trying this soon. Also could use a kill switch, but that comes with the top model, so I will have to upgrade this one to get it.

I am beyond excited to start my journey on an 8 string. I've been wanting one for a while. So many firsts active pickups is a new thing for me as well. This guitar was an easy choice honestly. Fishman Fluence Pickups, multi scale, thin neck, locking tuners, and guitar case for $200 less you can buy this over getting the headless version. (which honestly is better and is legit just an aesthetic difference) This thing is chunky sounding and feels great in my hands. Legator out did themselves in every aspect when you think about the price. I highly recommend giving it a try over fender, gibson, jackson, and ibanez. The bottom line is alot of older companies just don't like to explore as much and don't offer as much quality in the price. (shy of ibanez) I can say an 8 string is a little scary but when you get down to music theory is still the same as always and I love all of the experimenting I will get to do. Also this thing is absolutely gorgeous. It's the first guitar I've owned that I absolutely needed.

  • Not worth the price. Look elsewhere.

It looks decent. Better in person than pictures honestly. Fretwork is just subpar. Unacceptable on a guitar in this price category. Fret ends are fine but poorly leveled. Can't get the F# intonated without a ton of buzz.

  • Not quite what you see in the picture

You are probably looking at this guitar for the same reason I did, it's a beautiful 8 string metal machine that stands out from the typical black and bowling ball looking finishes. I just got mine and it does the metal part very well and I am happy about that, the look of the guitar on the other hand was a little lacking. Instead of the bright cerulean underneath that crispy white edging you will instead see a more off white and deep opaque blue. Fret board seems to be stained a darker color as well, which is a stark contrast to the burnt maple I was looking forward to. Don't get me wrong, it is a fantastic piece of equipment and it looks great as it is, but when you select an instrument expecting it to look a certain way and it shows up looking quite different that can be a bit of a let down. Especially at this price point. I would still recommend this guitar with the understanding that what you get will live up to the performance you would expect, it will just be quite a bit darker than what you see on line.

LEgator's Website says 27.5" Scale Length. Guitar Center says 28" Scale Length. Which is it?
