I went into the store for a mic preamp and fell in love with one of these I found on the wall. I am a Prog-Metal composer/songwriter, and this is my first 8 string. The setup still needs some fine-tuning, and the pickups are a bit quiet, but I'm absolutely in love with this guitar.

The move to World Instruments Korea was the best decision Legator could have made. Flawless guitar with amazing playability. I have numerous Legators and have found that they are really on top of their game the last few years after having a few bumps in the road with quality in the mid 2010's. I ordered the pink model which appears to have different pickups from the 2022 run, but I'm not complaining. The stock pickups are nothing to write home about, but do maintain articulation which is hard to find in extended range instruments. Legator is nice enough to preinstall a battery compartment for those who wish to go active. Feel bad for the other reviewer who had a less than stellar experience, but so far all 3 of my World built Legators have been amazing.

  • Amazing craftsmanship and a very high quality guitar

Everything Works perfect on this guitar. Looks beautiful and sounds great as well. I would definitely recommend this guitar for anyone interested in a 8 string guitar. It really is a piece of art and I can't see myself picking up any of my other guitars

  • It's an 8-string guitar, It wasn't worth the money I spent.

Came from the Online Warehouse in a FENDER box, wrapped in minimal bubble wrap instead of a Legator box, quality control was really bad on this guitar, the frets, all 24 both sides were sharp and protruding over 1 millimeter and actually drew blood from my left forearm when it slipped in my hand, and I caught it to keep it from hitting the ground, the main setup was horrible and it was necessary to adjust the string heights at the saddles, intonation for all the strings, and file and polish all the fret edge to make them smooth enough to play, which too about 3 hours, the pickups are lackluster and muddy sounding, the guitar had a serious hum, that I found was the pickup grounds to the 3-way switch that were not properly soldered, I replaced the pickups with actual active Seymour Duncan Blackouts(the unit has a battery compartment with a battery and the wires are not connected to anything, and the pickups are PASSIVE)and now the guitar sounds good. I am still tempted to return this guitar and get something of better quality(and this was a $899+5yr warranty purchase) so it wasn't CHEAP,
