Powerful 5-Band EQ Tailors Your Tone

The Para DI's 5-band EQ with sweepable mids and notch filter provides +/-12dB of adjustment for crafting your perfect tone. Dial in more bass, roll off the highs, boost the mids or cut resonant frequencies—the tonal possibilities are endless. With a tunable midrange, you can home in on the precise mid frequency you want to adjust for unparalleled tone shaping.

Runs on Battery or Phantom Power for Maximum Versatility

Whether you're gigging at a venue with phantom power or busking on the street, the Para DI has you covered. It runs for over 200 hours on a standard 9V battery and also accepts 48V phantom power for convenient plug-and-play performance. The Para DI's roadworthy build ensures reliable performance in any environment.

Ultra-Transparent Signal Path Preserves Pickup Detail

The Para DI's discrete, Class A FET input and ultrahigh input impedance provide an crystal-clear signal path that captures every nuance of your acoustic pickup's tone. Its adjustable gain control allows you to match levels for any pickup, active or passive and achieve up to +24dB of gain. The Para DI transmits your signal to the mixing board via balanced XLR and 1/4" outputs for pristine, studio-quality sound.

Essential Features for Live Performance

In addition to powerful tone shaping and an ultra-transparent signal path, the Para DI includes essential features for live performance. Its phase inversion switch helps eliminate feedback, while an effects loop allows you to easily integrate pedals. A low cut filter removes excess bass for a tight, controlled tone. Absolutely the Best Acoustic Preamp Around!

The LR Baggs Para Acoustic DI is an awesome preamp for electro-acoustic instruments, and comes with so many valuable features! Since early 2004 I've used it in conjunction with a McSpadden SH12KK Custom dulcimer with custom LR Baggs piezo bridge pickup, and this LR Baggs preamp makes it play like a dream! The most useful features for me have been the equilizer, gain control, volume control, effects loop, reverse polarity button, and its dual output of both a 1/4" and an XLR jack. This unit can run on phantom power through the XLR, although I prefer to use 9-volt batteries in it. Battery life in this preamp is quite long, as it doesn't use much power while it's operating (less than 3mA!). The discrete pure class A field effect transistor input gives the very best sound possible and virtually no noise. If you play any electro-acoustic instruments, be sure to pick up this awesome product! It's well-worth the investment, gives you more control over your sound, and improves your music!

    I Love this box! I bought used one here on GC as i needed preamp/DI to plug straight into the board of a singer/guitarist I started playing with. I had read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of videos of all the acoustic preamps available and decided on this one for my Martin GPC-15ME. The Martin has a built in Fishman preamp, but the LR Baggs allows me to get a strong clear sound without distortion and without having to max the Martin preamp. The Para acoustic can be powered off battery or phantom. If phantom power is lost, battery automatically kicks in. Unit automatically turns on when jack plugged into input when on battery power. Fits nicely sideways on a pedaltrain Nano+ along with a Harmonist PS-6 and BBE mini sonic stomp with room to spare.
