I purchased this on the 'Daily Pick'. I didn't see any movement on shipping after a few days and called GC for an update. I was told it was discontinued and they didn't have any in stock at the warehouse so I'd be getting one from a store and to call them to get an update. I called the store and was told they were still looking for a new one because they could only find a demo unit. After a few more days when it arrived, it was obviously the demo unit because it was in pretty rough shape. The corners and edges were damaged (no damage to the box) and I received no paperwork or adjusting tool. I wasn't impressed with the sound either. I tried to adjust it to improve the sound using my own tools but really couldn't get much out of it - bland tone and no projection at all compared to those I have used before ....so I decided even though it was discounted, it still wasn't worth the money so I am returning it. Just to add - When it arrived and I noticed no adjusting tool, I contacted LP percussion and a few days later a representative got back to me asking for a photo and some specifics - so LP was willing to help me from that aspect.

  • Good product. Not inspected by GC for Quality.

Good product. Looks like a floor model. Scratched.

I got this for my practice room as a percussion instrument when we don't feel like pounding drums—say, when we're doing acoustic jamming. This cajon is a good basic instrument with a bright tone. I'd give it 5 stars if it had a bit more bass. But for the price, I'm not complaining. The cajon in this color looks great next to my Vox Mini Superbeetle amp.

Sad to say that after 1 year almost to the day, an internal string broke. It was a good instrument, but only for a year.
