Comments about LMI 27-Note Bell Set with Case G-A:

Went to GC to test drive a new Stratocaster, they did not have one in stock but they had another with the C Neck-Ordered the JB in Olympic White.
While I was there I was looking at other guitars (As you can never have to many) and the first thing that grabbed me about this Gretsch was the color, Candy Apple Red.
I wanted it just for that reason at first.
But then I plugged it in to a Vox AC 30-
Pick me up I am on the floor-Amazing Sound. SOLD
I bought it and then took it to the studio where I was able to really put it through it's paces.
Play it Cranked, Clean Warm and Bright.
I am blown away by the playing feel and tones of this Guitar.
I re-tracked a rhythm section in one of my songs and it Cut through Excellent in the mix.
This will be one of my favorites for tracking moving forward.
I love this Guitar. Thanks GC

Comments about LMI 27-Note Bell Set with Case G-A:

This 27 bell kit is a pleasure to use. I've tried my soft and medium vibraphone mallets and they work well except for the smallest bars on the right which don't get hit hard enough for a good sound. The small hard plastic mallets are the best because they require almost no effort to get excellent results. There is some problem with unwanted resonance caused by striking the bar too hard, so you need to get the feel for the right striking force. I would trade the high keys on the right for additional lower notes on the left, but that didn't seem to be an option. It's a nice combination the way it is and I like everything contained in the hard case. I'm just a casual player and this self-contained bell set just sounds nice to play for NO reason at all, but potentially I might use it to mix in with other recordings I've made using loops or layers.
