Kramer
Description

The Kramer Assault 220 electric guitar is built for high gain rock and metal. This Kramer guitar features a single cutaway mahogany body and set mahogany neck for a thick, resonant tone. The slim, fast neck and 24 jumbo frets make shredding a breeze. Dual Kramer humbucking pickups deliver a hot output and aggressive tone that cuts through the mix.

Licensed Floyd Rose Tremolo for Divebombs and Squeals

The Kramer Assault 220 includes a licensed Floyd Rose tremolo bridge for expressive techniques like divebombs, squeals, and warped sounds. The Floyd Rose locking nut provides stable tuning even with heavy use of the tremolo arm. Unleash your creativity with the Floyd Rose and craft unique solos and effects.

Push/Pull Coil Splitting for Versatile Tonal Options

The volume control on the Kramer Assault 220 features push/pull coil-splitting to switch between humbucking and single-coil tones. In humbucking mode, the pickups produce a hot, thick tone perfect for hard rock and metal. Switch to single-coil mode for brighter, glassier tones reminiscent of a Stratocaster. Access a range of tones with the flip of a control knob.

Classic Kramer Style with Modern Playability

The Kramer Assault 220 combines Kramer's iconic '80s style with modern, ergonomic contours for maximum comfort. The single cutaway mahogany body has sculpted edges for effortless upper fret access. A thin, tapered maple neck and flat 12" radius rosewood fretboard enhance speed, accuracy, and all night comfort. Available at Guitar Center, get your Kramer Assault 220 today.

The're back

This is an excellent guitar. I was not sure what to expect as I got this right off the site. The pickups are pretty hot the coil tap is a nice feature. You will not get a "strat" or Tele sound however. Split into single coils it just mellows out a bit. The neck is almost flat great for shredding. The guitar arrived setup perfectly and in tune no less. I've probably owned 30 guitar over the years I can't imagine that anything out there is a better value for the price. This guitar sounds and plays as well as a Les Plus with a little more heat.

Complete trash

I bought this guitar not even 4 months ago and it has already started the fall apart. The whammy Bar Parts collapsed through the guitar and I had to dig around inside it to get the parts back and I was about to play the another day and I was about to stick the cord in and the cord before had a lot of trouble going in and I would have to shove it in to the guitar or else it would just pop out and somehow a part of the cord hole just broke off and now I can't even put the cord in or it will fall out meaning I can't even play my guitar without an amp now

I plan on using this as a live guitar. It's well built and well balanced. Weight is reasonable. The pick ups are hot but sound good. I was able to get a good range of usable sound from them. I'll keep the stock pick ups in it. Bridge is reliable and stable. Eventually I'll upgrade the block and saddles. The one I received played well out of the box and I could have gigged it out of the box if need be. Fretwork was a little rough but after a professional set up it out plays some of the higher price point guitars I own. Overall very satisfied and wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

The first thing that happened was the tremolo fell apart, I had to dig around to find the part. Then after I fixed it. It fell apart again. However once I got everything tighten down, playing this guitar was great, I love the feel. It's shreds. I like the split coil for sound. I play hard Rock and it's great. I use it for studio work and Live performances.

  • I would buy again

It's a great guitar for metal. The guitar is gloss black not flat or matte. Be Shure after you purchase to check the hardware. The nut for the input cable on mine was stripped out also it's hot all the time even when the volume is turned down. Turned down I mean and not off it's not dampend in tone just sound. You will need to buy a gig bag or Epiphone stile case the hardshell roadrunner case does not fit because of the length of the guitar and the tremalo. Other's have said it doesn't stay in tune keep in mind new string's stretch. I tuned mine 3 times then after the strings stretched it stays in tune. It's an excellent sounding guitar with great sustain. I jamm on it every night. I would definitely buy another. Hope this helps. Thanks.. Jeff...
