I contacted KMI about a MIDI issue using this with Superior DRummer, They jump on it and fixed it with updated firmware. Now this is perfect. HIGHLY recommended. Finger drumming or sticks. Great... LOVE IT.
Firmware has a bug in midi position (radius)

Nice pad, but has an issue when used with positional sensing VSTs like Superior Drummer. It sends the position (radius) information in the wrong order by sending Note-on first, then CC. This is incorrect and causes the first note played at a new position to be played as the previous position. There's no reason that Keith MCmillen products support can't fix their firmware to do the CC correctly which should be CC first followed by the note-on. That's how it should work and does in correctly designed products such as the Roland positional sensing snare on TD-27 / 50 for example. If done as KM BopPad does it, then when you play the center and move to the edge, the first note on the edge will be played as a center note because the CC (position) is behind the note-on message. That's just wrong and has been wrong since there first release in 2017, here it is 2024 and KM hasn't fixed it.
