This Kawai MP7SE keyboard is one of the best kept secrets!

I use this keyboard for practicing at home. It's too heavy for me to carry to gigs, but it might be fine for someone else. It feels and plays like a real acoustic piano. I was considering the Nord Grand but this has the same Kawai action and is $2,000 cheaper! I have tried so many brands of 88 key keyboards and have always been disappointed with their actions. The minute I started playing this one, I thought WOW! THIS IS IT!! I would recommend this keyboard to anyone who is looking for a 88 key keyboard that plays and feels like a real piano. And the price is right!

In one and a half months the keybed in this keyboard started to fail and I didn't even play with on a daily basis. If you search online, you'll realize that MP7S and ES8 share the same action and they all suffer from the same issue, which the keyboard triggers the notes you're playing at random. This renders the keyboard useless. Kawai has a good customer service but what's the point if they're not selling a proper product and charge you a premium for it?!

Bought this keyboard brand new just a month ago. After 3 weeks of lite use one of the keys is acting up, the note gets stuck but not the key itself, you just hear the note hanging there like if you were stepping on the sustain pedal. In the year of 2018, from a company like Kawai this is unacceptable. Will be returning it this week and look for something else.
