collapse expand iconDescription

The modwave module wavetable synthesizer from KORG packs the immense sound design potential of the modwave mkII into a slim module. With its generous 60-voice polyphony, deep wavetable oscillators and flexible modulation options, the modwave module places a universe of textures and tones at your fingertips. Whether you use it on your desktop or mounted in a rack, this compact wavetable synth stimulates creativity.

Extreme Sound and Modern Features in a Compact Format

Despite its slim 4U size, the modwave module delivers the same sonic impact and feature set as the full-size modwave keyboards. It transforms the legacy of KORG's classic DW-8000 into a modern monster synth. The wavetable oscillators offer nearly limitless timbres to shape with filters, envelopes and LFOs, while the hands-on control panel gives immediate access to sound sculpting. The modwave module's desktop design with multiple angle options makes it easy to integrate into any studio or performance setup.

Massive 60-Voice Polyphony for Complex Sound Design

With a staggering 60 stereo voices, the modwave module provides double the polyphony of the original modwave synth. You can build rich, evolving textures and dense chordal arrangements and the higher voice count also ensures that complex modulation routings and effects processing won't cut notes off prematurely. Whether you're designing cinematic soundscapes or gated dance anthems, the modwave module won't hold you back.

Updated LFOs and New Modulation Capabilities

The modwave module features enhanced LFOs with added modes like free-running operation, delayed start and retriggering. You also get a pre/post reverb send switch for sculpting space and dimension in the mix. With the latest update, it's easy to access polyphonic aftertouch data for organic expression. The open modulation architecture equips you to animate sounds dynamically.

MIDI 2.0 and Polyphonic Aftertouch Support

Thanks to recent updates, the modwave module harnesses the potential of MIDI 2.0. It supports bidirectional MIDI communication for advanced control of instruments and seamless preset recall. The modwave also provides simple access to polyphonic aftertouch, simply combine it with KORG's Keystage controller for natural, responsive playing.

Flexible Desktop or Rackmount Setup

Clever construction allows the modwave module to adapt to any studio. The 4U design neatly fits standard 19" racks and for desktop use, included brackets let you set the angle to suit your workspace. The recessed rear panel also gives easy access to connections even in tight spaces. Whether mounted in a road case or placed atop your controller, the modwave module integrates smoothly.

With its slim size, massive voice count and deep synthesis tools, the modwave module unlocks immense creative potential. Experience the future of wavetable synthesis in a flexible format.
