Description
The B2 is part of a new generation of digital pianos from Korg. The mission in designing the Korg B2N was focused on accessibility and ease of use. Given the special attention Korg has directed toward the experience of playing a real piano, the B2 is a perfect instrument for student development. It has a dozen carefully selected sounds, starting with legendary grand pianos from around the world.

The Korg B2 features an 88-note keyboard that covers a diverse range of genres, starting with five distinct piano sounds from the new piano engine. It also features rich and distinctive electric piano, organ, harpsichord, and strings.

German piano

This world-famous German-made piano is beloved by countless pianists for its diverse range of expressive power. With stunning sonic dynamism and vibrance, its palette ranges from brilliant highs to chillingly detailed lows. The provided sounds include the majestic "German concert piano" and a "Classic piano" noted for its delicate and complex tone.

Italian piano

An Italian-made piano with beautifully bright expression and satisfying sustain. Pianists around the world are enraptured by its rich resonance and sensitive responsiveness. The sounds provided are "Italian concert piano," a brightly toned "Jazz piano," and a beautifully resonant "Ballad piano."

Electric piano

An e-piano that reproduces the differences in tone that arise from your playing dynamics and even simulates the sound of a key-off. Conjure electric piano sounds that are instantly recognizable from decades of great music.

Organ

Sounds appropriate for rock and jazz are provided, as well as the sublime sound of a real recorded pipe organ.

Equipped with versatile I/O for a range of connectivity

The B2N provides connectors that allow using the instrument in conjunction with a variety of software and music hardware. This opens new possibilities for enjoying a digital piano that helps users create great music.

    The sounds were rich through the on board speakers and the action is good, a bit on the less resistant side. Probably not a large forum stage piano per se, but would work for smaller venues and can be amped via the headphone jack. Limited voices, but that's not unusual for an instrument in this price range. A strong competitor to other brand's similar entry level models.

    This is a practice keyboard for me. Seems very well-done: the piano sounds are rich and the built-in speakers serve them well. If you were to hop on and churn out some Beethoven or something, the sound and feel would leave you satisfied. However, if you like to experiment, it only has a handful of sounds. I found it strange and a little inconvenient that using the sustain pedal and the organ presets made the sound last forever, too...but that could be standard for any keyboard.
