Jackson X Series Soloist SL3X DX Electric Guitar - Lambo Orange

Built for speed, sustain and high-impact performance, the Jackson X Series Soloist SL3X DX electric guitar delivers classic Soloist attitude with modern materials and road-ready hardware. A sleek, contoured poplar body paired with neck-through-body construction creates exceptional balance, effortless upper-fret access and long, singing sustain across the entire fretboard. Designed for players who demand precision during extended sessions, the SL3X DX combines fast playability, aggressive tone and dependable stability into a streamlined instrument that thrives in demanding live and studio environments.
Neck-Through Construction With Graphite Reinforcement for Stability and Sustain
At the core of the Soloist SL3X DX is a neck-through maple neck that runs the full length of the body, maximizing resonance and delivering smooth, uninterrupted feel from the nut to the 24th fret. Graphite-reinforcement rods strengthen the neck against temperature and humidity changes, helping maintain consistent setup and tuning reliability over time. The ultra-fast 12"–16" compound-radius bound laurel fingerboard is engineered for comfort and control, allowing easy chording near the nut and effortless, fret-out-free lead work higher up the neck. Jumbo frets further enhance speed and precision, making complex runs and wide bends feel natural and controlled.
Duncan Designed Pickup Configuration for Aggressive, Versatile Tone
A powerful trio of Duncan Designed pickups gives the SL3X DX a bold, articulate voice suited for everything from tight rhythm work to soaring leads. High-output HR-101 Hot Rails single-coil pickups in the neck and middle positions deliver punchy clarity and focused attack, while the HB-103B humbucker at the bridge provides thick, harmonically rich output with strong low-end response. A five-way blade switch, single volume control and single tone control keep operation intuitive, allowing quick tonal changes without interrupting performance. This versatile layout supports modern high-gain styles while remaining responsive to dynamics and picking nuance.
Floyd Rose Special Tremolo and Signature Jackson Appointments
The recessed Floyd Rose Special double-locking tremolo system provides smooth, expressive pitch control while ensuring the guitar returns accurately to pitch after aggressive dive-bombs, flutters and vibrato work. Black hardware throughout reinforces durability and a stealthy aesthetic, complemented by knurled dome-style control knobs for confident grip. Pearloid shark fin inlays, zebra pickup bobbins and the iconic Jackson pointed six-in-line headstock complete the instrument’s unmistakable look. Together, these details round out a guitar built to perform hard, play fast and deliver unmistakable Jackson tone night after night.

Beautiful color, fantastic guitar!!

The Lambo Orange has a bit of a metallic pearloid look. It's beautiful. The guitar came extremely well setup, even for a Floyd Rose guitar. Fine tuning a FR equipped guitar has certain steps; check out the YouTube tutorials. The neck is very thin, but it is wide enough for complex chord shapes. The fretwork and neck finish on mine are flawless. The control cavity is shielded with paint and foil. The pickups are outstanding. Some people may not think so but I have tried them with different amps and different pedals and I think they are terrific. The FR is the "Special", so eventually you should swap out the zinc string tension blocks for stainless steel or titanium. The poplar body is light, and the use of poplar is fine because the neck is maple and it is a neck through body design. The guitar is extremely resonant and the neck vibrates with the string in a very cool way. This guitar can absolutely shred with the best. But it can also do more. The pickups are articulate and full. Turn the volume down a tad and they have nice definition clarity. It's a well made, well equipped guitar that puts the Super Strat concept into your hands at a bargain price.
