Jackson

Description

The Jackson X Series Scott Ian King V Electric Guitar is the signature model of Anthrax's pioneering guitarist Scott Ian. Jackson has customized this King V with a flame maple top and Ian's "Baldini" artwork for a one-of-a-kind collaborative creation from one of metal's most influential artists.

High-Output Pickups Provide Aggressive Tone

The X Series Scott Ian King V is armed with a pair of Jackson high-output humbucking pickups for an aggressive tone perfect for thrash and heavy metal. The bridge pickup delivers a hot, cutting tone ideal for intense rhythm playing and screaming leads. The neck pickup has a warmer, fuller tone for a more rounded sound. With a 3-way toggle switch, you can select the bridge pickup, neck pickup or blend both pickups together.

Floyd Rose Tremolo Bridge Enables Dive Bombs and Tuning Stability

The X Series Scott Ian King V features a Floyd Rose Special double-locking tremolo bridge for rock-solid tuning stability and the ability to perform dive bombs and wild pitch bends. The Floyd Rose bridge locks the strings at the nut and bridge to prevent detuning when using the whammy bar. With a Floyd Rose, you'll be able to unleash all of the uninhibited techniques in Scott Ian's thrash metal arsenal.

Fast-Playing Neck with Compound Radius Fingerboard

The X Series Scott Ian King V has a fast-playing maple neck with a scarf joint and graphite reinforcement for stability. It has a 12"-16" compound radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets, giving you a rounder fretboard radius in the lower frets for chording and a flatter radius in the higher frets for soloing. The neck also has Jackson's pointed 6-in-line headstock and pearloid block inlays.

Designed for the Stage and Studio

Overall, the X Series Scott Ian King V Electric Guitar is built for high-performance playing on stage and in the studio. Its Nyatoh body is contoured for playing comfort and has an elegant flame maple top. With premium appointments, versatile electronics and solid hardware, this signature King V provides professional quality at an affordable price.

I love the look at the guitar and I love the feel of the guitar, but I didn't like the way the guitar was put together. It seems like it was slapped together. Lotta things were loose and I felt that I shouldn't have to put money into getting it fixed since it was brand new.

  • Beautiful guitar. Cheap made.

Compare this to a Jackson X Series Rhoads RRX24, and there is an insane difference. Right out of the box, the pickup switch giggles in its socket. Both knobs spin in the body. And the pickups leave a lot to be desired. For the same price, buy a better quality Jackson. Disappointed.

  • Not set up or tuned when I got it.

This is a great guitar by looks. When I took it out all my stings were flapping around and nothing was locked down. D string just snapped with a few turns. Very unhappy with that. I will hear it one day but for now it's back 8n the package and 8n the corner. Yay...
