Jackson

Description

The Jackson Soloist SLX DX Leopard electric guitar is a double-cutaway workhorse built for speed and comfort, packed with modern features for today’s shredders. It features an ergonomically curved nyatoh body and through-body maple neck with graphic reinforcement for rock-solid stability, and tilt-back scarf joint headstock for reduced playing fatigue. Topped with 24 jumbo frets, its 12"–16" compound-radius bound laurel fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording, and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out.

Active Jackson covered high-output humbucking pickups power the Soloist SLX DX Leopard with an expansive voice, loaded with crunchy, full-bodied tone that’s ideal for brazen lead work or assertive rhythms runs. Tone is fully customizable with three-way pickup blade switching and single volume and tone controls, while a Floyd Rose Special double-locking tremolo bridge system provides superior string stability and dynamic tremolo action. Additional appointment includes pearloid sharkfin inlays, Jackson sealed die-cast tuners and sleek black hardware.

Bought this guitar new from local shop. It was the floor model I guess because it was pretty smudged up and way out of tune. No problem I paid to get it set up , bring it home immediately pops string and won't stay in tune. Hate this guitar brought it back. Get something else !

I have found over the years Jacksons are hit or miss. At this price point it's a decent guitar and I will probably play some shows with it.

How big is the Floyd rose bar

    Open Reply - Gear-Support
Thread Specification The Floyd Rose Special uses the standard 6 mm threaded tremolo arm––this is consistent across typical Floyd Rose systems. Typical Length Replacement bars (e.g. the “Floyd Rose Type Black Replacement Whammy Bar”) are commonly listed at around 6.5 inches (≈165 mm) in overall length. Bars typically weigh around 53 g for a zinc-alloy Floyd Rose Special version. Thread size: 6 mm, which matches any standard Floyd Rose Special tremolo on the SLX DX. Length: Approximately 6–7″ (commonly ~6.5″ or ~165 mm). Weight: Roughly 50–60 g, depending on alloy.
