Jeff Loomis on his Signature Jackson Pro Series Soloist SL7 Model | Jackson Presents | Jackson

Description
Jackson's Jeff Loomis Signature Soloist SL7 is a high-performance extended-range electric guitar built for maximum speed, clarity and sonic aggression. Developed in close collaboration with renowned guitarist Jeff Loomis, the SL7 provides an immersive playing experience for shredders and metal musicians. The lightweight basswood body and sandblasted ash top give this axe a utilitarian look that matches its simplified controls, while the set maple neck with graphite reinforcement offers a satin finish for low-drag comfort.
Signature Pickups Deliver Bone-Crushing Tone
The SL7 is loaded with a pair of Jeff Loomis' signature Seymour Duncan Blackout pickups that capture his famous high-gain tone. With incredible clarity and power, these pickups excel for heavy metal and hard rock, delivering all the crunch and grit that Loomis is known for. The articulate, in-your-face tone provides amazing definition across the 7-string range.
Floyd Rose Tremolo Enables Dive Bombs and Squeals
A Floyd Rose FRT-1500 double-locking tremolo system provides rock-solid tuning stability for the SL7, even with heavy use of the tremolo arm. Unlock squeals, dive bombs and other extreme techniques without tuning headaches. The classic feel of the original Floyd Rose complements the responsive playability of this guitar.
Fast, Low-Action Ebony Fingerboard
The SL7 features a fast-playing ebony fingerboard with a compound radius for effortless soloing and riffing. A flatter 16" radius at the higher frets enables wide bends without fretting out, while a rounder 12" radius at the lower frets provides natural, relaxed chording.
Built for High Performance
From the lightweight body to the reinforced neck and signature pickups, every detail of the SL7 is crafted for high performance. The simplified controls and Floyd Rose tremolo system provide an immersive, responsive playing experience for shredders. Designed in collaboration with Jeff Loomis, this signature model endeavors to provide the ultimate shred experience.

The guitar sound and feels good. I used it for practice and performing live. Needed to tighten up the floyd rose. Not sure if anyone from Jackson did a setup or inspection. No note saying it was inspected.

In your product discription for the Loomis 7string it says "bolt on neck" and the pictures clearly show a neck-thru. Also no mention if the frets are stainless both are Make or break options on any fiddle over a grand.
I apologize for the confusion. It's a thru. Thank you for pointing that out. I will pass it on to our web team. Stainless is more of a "feature" than a spec. If a guitar has stainless frets, it would be noted. Jackson makes no mention of stainless. I assume they're nickel.submitted2 years ago
