Jackson

collapse expand iconDescription

Jackson JS Series guitars take an epic leap forward, making it easier than ever to get classic Jackson tone, looks and playability without breaking the bank.

Built for the lefty, the Rhoads JS32 LH has a poplar body and a bolt-on maple speed neck with graphite reinforcement and scarf joint for rock-solid stability. Hosting 24 jumbo frets and pearloid sharkifn inlays, the 12”-16” compound radius fully bound amaranth fingerboard creates the ideal playing surface for fat riffs and easy chording near the nut while gradually flattening in the upper registers for lightning-quick solos and wide bends without fear of fretting out.

Other great features include dual Jackson high-output humbucking pickups with ceramic magnets, single volume and tone controls, three-way toggle switch, a Jackson-branded Floyd Rose® double-locking tremolo bridge and sealed die-cast tuners.

This angular left-handed axe is available in Satin Gray with a black pickguard and all-black hardware.

Orientation: Left Weight: Poplar wood making it very light and easy on the shoulders and leg. Potentiometers: 1 Tone 1 Volume. Mine were faulty. Pickup Selector: LP style. Mine was faulty eventually gave out the 1st 30 minutes I had the guitar. Pickups B: 15.5kohms brutal when Max Crunch at Pantera style setting...has the early Megadeth type sound. N: 8.5 kohms bluesy and great for smooth arpeggio solos. I love these pickups and I have swapped out so many over time. These honestly sound better than the EMG 81-85s I have in my ESP Arrow 1000. Best of all no batteries needed. Electronics: Mine wasn't soldered well and ended up stop working after 30 minutes. Loads of buzz. Most likely the ground wire or pots were bad and the ground detached. At GC they couldn't get a sound out of it. Returned. :^( Paint: Was a minor rock-esque crack in the paint and bumpy sandlike spots throughout. Otherwise smooth satin finish. Neck: Wide and Perfect with no annoying paint or finish on the back that restrict quick movements! Very easy access to 24th fret. Fretboard feels weirdly dusty but smooth. Great for shred-happy beginners or experts. Frets/Action/Radius: Perfect. Not too narrow radius or C shape like an ESP Arrow or Fender. No fret buzz at all. Perfect ringing notes. Aside from my Schecter Hellraiser C8 this has a similar great shred friendly neck. A D-shape or possibly almost thin U neck with shifting radius. Tuners: Could be tighter. My guess they're 1:14 ratio like most stock tuners. Floyd bridge and nut: Perfect. Paired with this neck and Bridge pickup this was a guitar that finally squealed when I did dives, flutters and pullbacks. No dead notes occured when I did massive dives like it does on my ESP M50 and Arrow. Overall Impression: Better than my ESP Arrow 1000 at a 1/5th of the price (if you get one that has the electronics properly installed). If the quality control was better I wouldn't have returned it. This is THE guitar I wish I had 3 decades ago when I started learning. Looks cool, feels great, light, brutal tone, metal-head friendly.

Amazing guitar looks and feels just how you would imagine it's just hard to keep in tune due to the Floyd rose tremelo system.

  • Guitar good. Case for it way off from what I ordered

The guitar was awesome. Great play. The guitar case that I was told to order for it does not fit. And musicians friends ordering associate confirmed it would.

Does this come with the whammy bar? I remember buying an Ibanez with one in the picture but I didn't receive the whammy bar with it.
