Dual High-Output Pickups Provide Aggressive Tone
The JS Series Dinky Ziricote JS42 DKM HT is armed with a pair of Jackson high-output humbucking pickups with ceramic magnets, designed to handle high amounts of gain and distortion. These pickups deliver tight, punchy tones with rich midrange and articulate highs perfect for aggressive rock and metal styles. This combination allows chords and rhythm playing at the nut, with low action ideal for shredding higher up the neck.
Striking Ziricote Top and Mahogany Body
The JS Series Dinky Ziricote JS42 DKM HT features an exotic ziricote top on a mahogany body, giving it a distinctive appearance with gorgeous grain patterns and figuring. Guitar is beautiful, no flaws I could find. Frets were polished and well leveled. Neck is fantastic, my small hands fly up and down it with ease. Mine did need a complete setup upon arrival to eliminate fret buzz. Strings were garbage replaced immediately. Once it was setup it plays awesome. Couldnt have asked for a better axe at this price point which is why it gets 5 stars.

I ordered the JS42 from this website and when it showed up, I thought they sent the wrong guitar at first. On the website the pictures show a red guitar with a almost orange tinged back and neck. Neither of these colors are found on the actual guitar. It's a solid sand color throughout the entire body. There's nothing wrong with the guitar itself. Hardware was nice and the finish was pleasant. If you want to see what the guitar actually looks like before you buy it, check out used versions for better pictures.

Not bad for the 300 to 400 price range. I would suggest a professional setup tho. New strings, pickup height, action Guitar did not arrive in a playable condition. After the setup it sounds and plays good.
WoW, is this what a Jackson plays like?

Since I have gotten involved with guitars, most people recommended that I avoid Jackson guitars. The neck of this Jackson caught my eye, like, in a big way. When I picked it up to play, I was amazed at the "FEEL". The neck is a thin "flat C" multi-scale and is extremely fast and smooth, while fingers wrap easily around the entire neck. 5 Star, Triple A Rating on This Neck; and in itself, is worth the price of the guitar (personal opinion). The body is an open pore, with rich tones and long lasting sustains. The Humbucker pickups must be hand wound; for the are very vibrant, with a unique clarity, not normally found in Humbuckers. I have purchased over twenty guitars this year and this guitar, is by far, my best investment yet! Thank You Jackson, for permanently silencing those down talkers!!! If you want to "Blow Away" your competition, you will want to own this guitar for yourself.

Did the pick ups get switched? Just purchased a new JS42 and the pick ups do not say Jackson on them. Should they say Jackson? Every picture I've seen say Jackson on the pick ups.

The item says it's a dinky, but the picture is a V. I played the dinky the other day and am possibly interested in getting one. But is this actually the dinky or is it a V?
I apologize for the confusion. This is a Jackson JS Series Rhoads Ziricote JS42 Limited Edition Electric Guitar Natural. Thank you for pointing that out. I will pass it on to our web team.
