JHS 3 Series (Our NEW Budget Line)

In Depth Look at the NEW JHS 3 Series

Description
The JHS Pedals 3 Series Chorus pedal is a premium pedal providing lush, dimensional chorus effects with intuitive control over your tone. Perfect for guitarists and bassists looking to add depth and movement to their sound, the 3 Series Chorus features high quality components and a simple, straightforward design.
Simple, Intuitive Controls
With just three knobs—Rate, Depth and Volume—the 3 Series Chorus is easy to dial in and adjust on the fly. The rate and depth knobs control the speed and intensity of the effect, allowing you to create subtle pulses or seasick warbles, while the volume knob controls the overall output level. A vibe switch allows for a fully wet signal to take over providing true pitch vibrato with no dry signal.
Rugged and Road-Ready
The 3 Series Chorus is built to handle the rigors of the road. Its durable aluminum enclosure protects the sensitive circuitry within, and the rugged footswitch will withstand thousands of stomps. Powered by a 9V DC power supply, the 3 Series Chorus can provide pristine chorus tones for years of performance and practice.
Premium Components and Lifetime Warranty
JHS Pedals hand selects premium components to ensure the highest quality and tone. Each 3 Series Chorus pedal is handmade in Kansas City, MO. When you buy the 3 Series Chorus, you're getting a pedal built to last a lifetime.

Bland Chorus Tones

I ran this next to a Boss Super Chorus and an EHX Neo Clone, and the JHS just wasn't doing it for me. It sounded a bit weak and bland in comparison. That being said, the vibrato option sounded really good, and almost got me to keep the pedal, but I don't use a lot of vibrato in my playing, so I returned it.

I was recently using one pedal board for all my guitars, and the chorus I had was mainly designed for use with acoustic guitar. Now I'm rearranging things to have one board just for my electric guitars and all I needed was a basic chorus pedal of quality build and tone. I knew from reviews the JHS 3 series was perfect for me. I've been playing for 57 years and have owned pedals in the $100 to $500 range to provide my chorus effects. No matter if I had mulitple options in some stomp boxes I usually settled on a good subtle setting, so I knew there was no need for me to get anything fancier than the JHS. It sounds are good as the little blue Boss Chorus I bought way back in 1980.

The 3 Series is the boutique quality aford-a-board priced pedals you've been waiting for. I paired this guy with an Earthquaker Plumes, and now I've got VanHalen tone (albeit with Sid Vicious talent). Drop the C-Note. Totally worth it.
