Absolutely Stellar Product

So I have owned this speaker for a month now. I recently purchased it to host parties with about 100 - 150 People. This is definitely a professional speaker and not just a party speaker. The sound quality is perfect even at max power. It is much louder than the soundbox 3 and 2 which I also own. I will be purchasing another one!

Too big for the power

Being able to stash the tower in the sub base makes the sub extra large. I would highly recommend getting 2 Bose S1s instead if you're looking for portability. This speaker did not fit well on my cart with all my other gear which is super important to me for gigging. This speaker had LOTS of technology that becomes redundant if you plan on using a pair. Didn't sound great out of the box, I really had to dial in the gain and master volume which I did not like. All in all, great idea, but if you plan on getting a pair of speakers I don't think this is the one. It's Better if you're only looking for 1 speaker.

I've always liked JBL speakers! I recently tested Bose L16's at a wedding thumping out tremendous music! Got to compare & contrast it with the L8 & these JBL EON ONE MK2's! Bose had 3 inputs. JBL offers 6! My guitars, mics and Bluetooth music through them effortlessly! Sound is phenomenal!

I'm a piano teacher that just started a band, but I've been playing the Bass consistently, my goat was to buy something that can support both high and low instruments and that's why I didn't want a "Bass" amp. I was debating in getting a "piano" amp but I also wanted something compact since I live in a small apartment. I also wanted something to support multiple instruments at the same time. This little PA system does everything I need. I have hooked up an acoustic guitar, bass, and a 2 mics and its supports everyone well. It's pretty loud I would say it can cover a range of 70 people outdoors. I have tried hooking up a separate Makie mixer so that I can have more instrument come through the system. I don't have a lot of experience, but I can confidently say it is possible to do so. My favorite feature is definitely the Bluetooth app because I can wirelessly mix my sounds so that's just less cable I gotta worry about and I can mix where I am sitting and playing. I also absolutely love how compact it is. I love that it can run on chargeable batteries, sometimes our band plays out in the boondocks where power is limited. So this pa comes in handy for sure. I know it has an unconventional look to it. Most guys kinda scoff at it at first glance but when they give it a chance they are like "wow" I don't have alot of experience in using this professionally, but let me tell you if you are into practicing multiple instruments, and you are always traveling to different places to rehearse. This is perfect!!

I've been a JBL guy for years - performing solo jazz, with our duet and trio - all plugged in thru JBL gear. These days I get tired lugging everything around with speakers, stands, mixers etc so I took a serious look at the new JBL arrays and compared them to their Bose counterparts. Hands down, the audio quality and innovations built into the JBL's - not to mention the number of available channels makes JBL the clear winner. I am using the Eon One for a lot of solo gigs, with guitars straight in and running some tracks when the situation calls for it. WOW.... the customer feedback is so positive. Honestly you could not hope for a better sound in a system of this size. It has tons of power. I did evaluate the PRX array but decided it was a bit too heavy and the sound difference was not all that dramatic. Net net, I am so pleased with my decision, in addition to the help Michael and everyone provided at the Guitar Center in Charlotte. An added plus, although I have not taken advantage of it yet is that this unit runs on a battery! The battery is built into one of the columns. Great innovation. I highly recommend and am planning on running our entire trio thru the unit for medium sized gigs and have everyone else leave their heavy gear at home. Don;t hesitate. this is a first-class, extremely well-built and highly professional sounding array. It actually reminds me of the incredible JBL sound you hear in theaters .... it's that crystal clear. ...

I play jazz guitar, typicallyas a soloist, with a vocal duet and a sometimes as a trio with keys. I was looking to upgrade my sound, gently 'retire' some older JBL arrays and also let go of some of the very heavy powered speakers and their setups.. Weight of equipment is more of a concern these days BUT without compromising sound at all. I did a considerable amount of research, but as always, faithfully return to JBL for the exquisite sound and build quality (sorry Bose).. Looked seriously at the JBL PRX which is fantastic BUT the tradeoffs are weight vs sound and in my view the MK II is a great all-around array, sound is, as expected, PERFECTLY CLEAN and customizable .... I did not need all the channels that the prx offers but could always add in more via a mixer if need be. All-in, I could not be more pleased with my decision to buy the MK II. It is powerful, sound is GREAT and offers a lot of ways to connect your gear and mics. I'll be keeping this new gear for all my gigs - whether indoors, at clubs, outdoors in large spaces - whatever - the power is more than ample to handle most venues for me. As a side note, why is it that your gear always seems heavier at the end of a gig than at the beginning? !! HA HA HA. Hope this is helpful. All the best to everyone.

I am quite pleased with this product. Like everyone else, I had some struggles here and there, but I figured out the kinks and now everything runs smoothly. We just had a public event in an elementary school and students had a blast. Other times, the job gets done quite well at home

  • Sounds great, app and Bluetooth connection needs work

I've been gigging with this for over a year and for the most part I'm happy with it except for the app and Bluetooth connection. I demoed this side by side with a Bose L1 pro 8 and EV Evolve 30m. This sounded very similar to the Bose but was louder, more channels, more EQ, more effects and the option to run on battery putting the Bose out of contention. The evolve 30m sounded good, maybe slightly better bass but was $300 more at the time and didn't have the battery option. The app, however, is another story. First the sliders were very sensitive and was impossible to make small incremental adjustments. They put out an update and helped that but then that caused the app to disconnect if you minimized it and would take 12 seconds to reconnect. I don't use the app during gigs so it wasn't that much of an issue. 3 days ago they had another firmware update and fixed the sensitive sliders but now the is a lag with the Bluetooth connection when I try to run backing tracks from my tablet of about 3-4 seconds so I can't here the click track count in. I'm now having to use a cord to connect my tablet. Seems every time they do an update they fix one thing and mess up something else. Were I to know this I may have spent the extra on the evolve 30m but I really like the option to run on battery and how the poles and speaker store in the base. I'm cautiously optimistic that maybe the next update will get it right.

    1) We have only one "Open Box" unit available. 2) Can You Use Two PA Speakers Together for a Bigger Sound? Yes. Two Common Methods: Using a Mixer (Best Option) Connect the Left and Right main outputs of your mixer to the inputs of two powered speakers. This gives you a true stereo or dual mono setup depending on how you pan or mix. Great for live music, events, or wide venue coverage. Daisy-Chaining the Speakers: Many powered speakers have a “Thru,” “Mix Out,” or “Link” output. You can connect one speaker directly to the source (mixer, instrument, etc.), then link the output to the input of a second speaker. This is typically mono, but it's an easy way to add a second speaker without a mixer. Can You Use One Speaker as a Monitor? Yes, one speaker can act as a stage monitor, provided: Your source (mixer/interface) has an auxiliary output, monitor out, or similar. You can control the monitor mix separately from the main output. With a mixer: Use an aux send (post-fader or pre-fader) to send a custom monitor mix to the monitor speaker. Aim the speaker toward the performer at a suitable angle to avoid feedback.
