Description

Avenged Sevenfold drummer Brooks Wackerman is no stranger to playing fast, elaborate rhythms with his feet, and the KDB-3 Bass Drum Beater from Innovative Percussion is built exclusively for that purpose. The KDB-3 features a 1/4" steel shaft with a wooden ball beater that produces a strong articulation with optimum attack and punch. Additional features include the Brooks Wackerman Bat Head graphic, his signature on the top and an oversized "IP" logo on the bottom for added flavor.

    I put these on my old Iron Cobra 900 and have been super pleased with them. The weight and balance is perfect, they're fast for doubles but can easily transition to more dynamic playing. Much like other wood beater they're super versatile and on my 22" Gretsch bass drum with an Evans Emad Onyx batter head they add a welcomed amount of clarity and punch to each stroke and have excellent attack without sacrificing the low end. All in all I'm super happy to have these in my collection. They're not expensive, they look cool (I definitely dig the blue) and are good quality. I'd absolutely buy again, but unless I lose them I don't think I'll ever have to since they seem plenty durable. Good stuff 🤙
