Ibanez
Description

The TOD10 Tim Henson Signature electric guitar from Ibanez represents the pinnacle of sonic craftsmanship and innovation. Developed in close collaboration with Polyphia's Tim Henson, this signature model is designed to keep up with Henson's versatile and progressive playing style. At its heart are the revolutionary Fishman Fluence pickups, which span the tonal spectrum from searing lead tones to the cleanest single-coil sounds and everything in between. An American basswood body provides a balanced tone with tight lows and mids, while a roasted maple neck and ebony fretboard deliver superior sustain and articulation. The TOD10 is a visionary instrument for the modern guitarist seeking to push creative boundaries.

Revolutionary Fishman Fluence Pickups Redefine Versatility

The TOD10 is equipped with Fishman Fluence pickups, which represent a quantum leap forward in pickup technology. Fluence pickups provide an unprecedented range of tones, from aggressive high-gain leads to chimey cleans and everything in between. Tim Henson worked closely with Fishman to develop pickups tailored to his needs, resulting in pickups that capture the full spectrum of sounds in Henson's sonic palette. The Fluence pickups make the TOD10 an endlessly versatile instrument capable of adapting to any musical situation.

Striking "Tree of Death" Fingerboard Inlay

The TOD10 features a custom "Tree of Death" fingerboard inlay designed by Tim Henson himself. The inlay is a metal rendition of Ibanez's iconic "Tree of Life" motif with a darker, more sinister twist. The stunning inlay gives the TOD10 a one-of-a-kind aesthetic and highlights the guitar's status as Henson's personal signature model.

Premium Components for Unparalleled Performance

Every component on the TOD10 is carefully selected for maximum performance. The roasted maple neck and ebony fretboard provide enhanced sustain and attack. Gotoh MG-T locking tuners deliver rock-solid intonation for stable tuning even under heavy use. A T1502 bridge with steel saddles and a die-cast zinc tremolo block allow for a quick response and improved articulation. The 10.5 mm string spacing and snap-in tremolo arm make the TOD10 comfortable and ergonomic for any playing style.

I love this guitar. However, there appears to have been little quality control. The paint job is basic but you can see the paint doesn't cover any cut out sections (selector switch, Pick up cut outs, etc.). The Ibanez logo at the top is just a sticker that is laminated over. The 9 volt battery "snap" is really short and it's hard to change the battery. It's also really weak and I have been nursing it so I don't have to replace it. I had to return the first guitar because the electronics were messed up. The second guitar was wired correctly and the electronics are very good. The bolts on the bolt on neck were pretty loose. I tightened them and it has sustain for days. Like I said, I love this guitar. I just think the quality control could have been better. This had nothing to do with Guitar center. I opened it straight from the box shipped directly from the factory.

  • Beautiful, internet doesn't do it justice.

The TOD10, amazing guitar, absolutely exceeded my expectations. This thing is absolutely gorgeous, and I can't say this pictures online do it any justice. The QC, don't worry. Isn't bad, at least not to the point where it's noticeable when you play. Cant wait for the Prestige Model!!!
